About Relationship As Medicine
Relationship As Medicine with Shelby Leigh, LPC, explores healing beyond pathology — where connection is the medicine and “fixing” isn’t the goal. Rooted in somatics, trauma healing, and nervous system tending, it expands into neurodivergence, including high-masking Autism, ADHD/KCS/VAST, AuDHD, and neurocomplexity (Mackereth, 2023). For therapists, coaches, wellness providers, and anyone curious about their own neurotype, this is a space to unlearn, de-stigmatize, and come home to yourself — to be ignited, inspired, and met with fierce compassion, with zero interest in masking who you are.

[…] I heard this metaphor. I'm not great with metaphors, but I loved it. Somebody was telling me that they have a church. And so they were saying this as a metaphor. They're like, if we decide to do construction on the church most construction companies or contractors would say okay we took all access out to the front door and most places would put the stairs in before the wheelchair ramp just maybe out of habit or out of cultural expectation or aesthetic or whatever however if you put the wheelchair ramp in first everybody can get in the building and it's it can be similar for neurodivergent folks if we actually create spaces where neurodivergent folks are considered, then everybody actually is considered in the equation.
