EP7 - Joy and Pain: The steps we took to move forward. It was messy, we fought, loved, hated and learned how to reconnect
We really did not like each other a lot during this process. I (Lyndan) had no right to be angry or mean which made me just want to give up. I am not the victim and I was struggling not to be the coward and run away!
Vanessa struggled with feeling bad for me cause she knew I was sorry but also not liking me for betraying her trust. At times she wanted me by her side, laying next to her and other times she couldn't even look at me and questioned if staying together was worth it.
In this episode we touch on 5 of the steps we took to rebuild this marriage into something we didnt think possible. Like the houses we mentioned in the last episode that were burned to the ground and 3 months later were rebuilt bigger, stronger and more beautiful. God showed us our marriage. Burned to the ground so he could rebuild it from scratch to this beautiful union!!

In this episode Vanessa shares her feelings of being lost and feeling like she had nothing. Feeling like she was just a mom and Lyndan's wife. As she is trying to heal she begins to seek validation from other men. This only causes things to get worse in our marriage.
As she spends time with her mentor learning to forgive and grow, she has one foot in a dangerous place allowing flirty conversations with men to happen at her job.

As we, Lyndan and Vanessa, lay bare the rawest edges of our marriage, we confront the shadows of infidelity and the long, often bumpy road to healing. EP4 - Our Marriage Expectations verses reality. This almost destroyed us.
In this episode Lyndan and Vanessa discuss the unreasonable expectations they had for one another when they first got married. Lyndan expected non stop passion in the bedroom, Vanessa expect a church going husband who prayed for strangers! With little to no communication the stress of not receiving these unreal expections led to a destructive relation! Lyndan made some horrible choices, those choices almost led to divorce!
We talk about things both of us could have and should have done differently and how that lack of communication could have been an easy fix if we were surrounded by the right people.
