You Shall Love Him as Yourself

How should a Christian navigate civil duty, national borders, and loving the foreigner—without losing the biblical priority of family and civil order? And in our personal lives, what happens when two people with fundamental theological differences attempt to build a romantic relationship together? In this episode, we tackle two massive topics that collide at the intersection of faith, culture, and personal decisions. First, we examine the biblical framework surrounding nationhood, civil government, authority, and hospitality toward migrants. Does Scripture demand absolute open borders, or does God establish national boundaries alongside commands to love the stranger? Second, we dive into 2 Corinthians 6:14 and the radical claim that Jesus Christ is God. Can a believer truly unite with someone who holds a different worldview, or does a fundamental disagreement over who Jesus is tear the foundation apart? From Old Testament prophecies to Jesus calming the storm, claiming "I AM," and receiving worship, we lay out the biblical weight of the Trinity—and why shared faith is essential for a lasting union. Passages & Citations Covered: Topic 1: Immigration, Civil Authority, and Mercy Exodus 22:21 & Exodus 23:9 (Treating the stranger justly) Leviticus 19:34 & Leviticus 25:35 (Loving the resident foreigner) Romans 13:1-7 & Matthew 22:21 (Civil government, laws, and taxes) Mark 7:18-20 (What defiles a man comes from within) 1 Timothy 5:8 & Galatians 6:10 (Providing for family and household of faith) Topic 2: Relationships, the Unequal Yoke, and the Deity of Christ 2 Corinthians 6:14 (Unequally yoked with unbelievers) John 1:1, John 8:58, & John 10:30 (Christ's eternal deity and "I AM" claims) Isaiah 7:14 & Isaiah 53 (Immanuel, the virgin birth, and the Suffering Servant) Proverbs 30:4 & Matthew 8:23-27 (Who stills the winds and waves?) Sheep Without A Shepherd.

When Jesus casts out a demon and heals a mute man in Matthew 9:32–38, the crowds marvel, but the Pharisees dismiss His power. Yet instead of focusing on the religious opposition, Jesus looks out at the helpless, scattered crowds with deep compassion. What He sees isn't just a crowd of critics—He sees a vast field ready to be gathered. Jesus turns to His disciples and makes a radical statement: "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest". In this verse-by-verse study, we break down what it actually means to step up as a worker in God's kingdom. Why are so few willing to step into the fields? How do we move from being passive consumers sitting in the pews to active laborers responding to Christ’s call? We walk through the text line-by-line to unpack the urgency of the harvest, the necessity of prayer, and what it costs to go. Whoever Believes And Is Baptized Will Be Saved

Is water baptism a necessary requirement to receive salvation, or is it an outward expression of an inward transformation through faith alone? In this study, we open the Scriptures to examine one of the most debated questions in theology, diving directly into the tension between Old Law context, New Testament commands, and the finished work of the Cross.Rather than relying on human tradition or cherry-picked verses, we walk passage-by-passage through both sides of the argument. From Jesus' words to His disciples and Peter’s sermon at Pentecost, to Paul’s teaching on grace and the thief on the cross—we explore how faith, obedience, grace, and baptism intersect in God's plan for redemption.Scriptures Covered:Mark 16:16Luke 23:43Romans 4Isaiah 59:20Matthew 9:1-8Matthew 5:17-20Acts 16:30-31John 3:5Ephesians 1:11-14Acts 2:38-39Hebrews 3:18-19Galatians 5:22-23Matthew 9:10-12Romans 7:15-20Ephesians 2:8-9Hashtags:#Baptism #SalvationByGrace #FaithAndWorks #BiblicalDoctrine #ChristianApologetics #TheologyMatters
