“Second Place Chili, First-Class Fun: Disney Prices, Epcot Memories, and Sushi with Mike”
Get ready for another exciting, laughter-filled adventure on **Remy’s Roundtable: The Florida Theme Park Podcast**, the show where Florida’s most passionate theme park fans come together to talk about all things Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, and beyond! On this episode, **Remy** is joined by **Mike** and **Nicole**, while **Jen** takes the night off to recharge before the big anniversary celebration coming soon. But even with one seat empty at the Roundtable, the energy was sky-high — and the stories? Absolutely unforgettable.
The episode began with Remy proudly sharing some spicy news that had everyone cheering: he officially placed **2nd in a chili competition** hosted by **Real Radio 104.1** as part of *The Jim Colbert Show’s* Listener’s Challenge! The team congratulated him for representing *Remy’s Roundtable* in style — proving that he’s not only a theme park expert but also a master of flavor. Remy described the competition experience with excitement and gratitude, from the smoky spices to the crowd’s energy, and of course, the thrill of taking home that second-place finish.
After the cheers and laughter, the Roundtable switched gears to the **latest theme park updates**, and this week’s big story came straight from the heart of Walt Disney World. Disney has once again **raised its ticket prices**, including both **single-day admission** and **annual passes**. Remy, Mike, and Nicole dove deep into what this means for park guests, especially families planning their magical vacations. They discussed the reasons behind the price increase, the possible effects on crowd levels, and whether the Disney experience still justifies the cost. Nicole shared some insightful thoughts on Disney’s strategy and how the value of the parks continues to evolve, while Mike didn’t hold back with his honest foodie’s perspective on getting the most bang for your buck inside the parks.
Next up, it was time for **Ride of the Week**, where Remy took the team — and listeners — on a nostalgic journey back to **EPCOT’s golden era** inside the **Wonders of Life Pavilion**. The featured attraction was none other than the beloved and educational classic **Cranium Command**. The trio relived the clever storytelling, hilarious voice acting, and heartfelt message that made this attraction so unique. They discussed the genius behind its concept — a journey inside the human mind led by Buzzy, a tiny pilot with a big attitude. The group reflected on how the ride combined humor, science, and creativity in true EPCOT fashion. Of course, Remy led the tribute with a passionate, “**Long live Buzzy!**” reminding fans everywhere just how special that little animatronic still is in Disney history.
And what better way to close the show than with some mouthwatering food talk? In this week’s edition of **Mike’s Munchies**, Mike treated Remy to a culinary experience at the **Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort**, where the two explored one of its signature **sushi restaurants**. With detailed flavor descriptions and a dash of humor, Mike guided listeners through the menu, pointing out the must-try rolls, appetizers, and drinks that make this hidden gem a must-visit for any sushi lover. Remy added his own foodie take, comparing textures, flavors, and atmosphere — and together, they painted such a vivid picture that you could almost taste the soy sauce and wasabi through your headphones!
Before wrapping up, Remy shared a heartfelt reminder for all listeners to **mark their calendars for October 15th**, as *Remy’s Roundtable* prepares to celebrate its **6th Anniversary Episode!** Six years of laughter, theme park history, interviews, music, trivia, and unforgettable friendships. The Roundtable team has grown, evolved, and connected with fans across Florida and beyond — and this milestone promises to be one of their most special episodes yet.
