A conversation series with holistic practitioners, coaches, and healers who are actively building and evolving their practices.
Created as a space for the kinds of conversations many of us crave more of — authentic, thoughtful dialogue about what it actually looks like to build a mission-driven business.
Each episode captures a practitioner building in real time — exploring the dreams, the uncertainty, the pivots, the breakthroughs, and the blind spots that shape the journey of building a business.
Honest conversations — Behind the Practice.
119: Miranda Drop — Why Posting More Isn’t the Same as Finding Your People
A behind-the-scenes conversation about what happens when you’ve been taught to define your ideal client and create content for them — but not how to actually find, understand, and connect with those people.
In this episode, I’m joined by Miranda Drop, a person-centered coach and subconscious reprogramming expert who helps ambitious female entrepreneurs uncover what’s holding them back and move forward with greater confidence and self-trust.
What we explored:
• Struggling to turn your expertise into a clear offer for the right people
• Following ideal-client advice that never quite translated into real people
• The pressure to constantly create content and show up on social media
• Finding ways to connect with potential clients that actually fit how you want to work
• Why knowing your niche isn’t enough if you don’t know where to find them
Creating an ideal client on paper is one thing. Building a business around real people requires getting close enough to find them, talk to them, understand them, and learn whether what you’re building actually fits.

118: Sheena Browning — Building a Business Without Sacrificing Your Stability
Building a business you're passionate about doesn't necessarily mean going all in before you're ready. Sometimes maintaining other sources of income gives you the stability and breathing room to build something that can actually last.
In this episode, I'm joined by Sheena Browning, a spiritual practitioner who helps women build confidence and resilience as they pursue their dreams, particularly those transitioning out of traditional careers and into entrepreneurship.
What we explored:
• Managing multiple interests while trying to focus on building one business
• Investing in coaching and discovering that the strategies didn't fit
• Why maintaining other sources of income isn't necessarily a setback
• Building financial stability without sacrificing your wellbeing
• Breaking a bigger business vision into smaller, manageable steps
There's a difference between building a business quickly and building one that can last. Sometimes the most important decision is giving yourself enough stability to make thoughtful choices, lay the right foundations, and keep moving toward the work you want to do.

117: Keyon Bayani — When You Know Where You’re Going, But Not What Comes Next
A behind-the-scenes conversation about having a big vision for your work — while struggling to bring that vision back down to the first step in front of you.
In this episode, I’m joined by Keyon Bayani, a former lawyer turned writer and mixed media intuitive artist whose work explores grief, love, memory, and the ways we stay connected to those we’ve lost.
What we explored:
• Building a successful business before — and still struggling to figure out a completely different kind of entrepreneurship
• Trying offers, webinars, freebies, video, coaches, and courses without finding what worked
• How constantly seeing the bigger vision can make it difficult to know what to focus on now
• Internalizing years of things not working as self-sabotage, fear of success, or something being wrong with you
• Bringing the vision back down to one person, one focus, and the next step
Being able to see where your work could go doesn’t always mean you can see the path to get there. Sometimes the work is bringing the bigger vision back down to what matters now — and knowing exactly what comes next.
