Ever wonder what makes people resilient? How some can manage tough times with a great perspective and strong mindset? RESILIENT PEOPLE is an original podcast hosted by Janet Fanaki. A self-described Resilience Explorer, Janet speaks with regular people from around the world who are admired for their resilience as well as experts in fields like sleep, fitness, education and nutrition. RESILIENT PEOPLE guests have lived through a major life challenge and found a purpose from it to help others. From forming a charity to writing a book, starting a fundraiser and becoming popular public speakers. It's the way that they took a negative experience and turned it into something positive that Janet is drawn to and wants to share their journey with listeners. For season 3 of the podcast, Janet is shifting her focus to stories from midlife women. Counting herself in this group, she is learning from the women who have turned this sometimes scary and lonely time in their lives, to one that is bringing them joy and fulfillment.    RESILIENT PEOPLE is a podcast hosted by me, Janet Fanaki. I share my conversations with regular everyday people who are admired for their resilience. They've managed a major life challenge, found a purpose from it and now help others to be resilient too. This season I've made a bit of a pivot and now focus on speaking with people who have moved forward from grief. In only five years I experienced the loss of my 51 year old husband, parents and 25 year old daughter. This new format to the show is an opportunity to share advice from others about getting back to living again after suffering a personal loss. Grief is complicated, hard and sometimes seemingly never ending. I'm using this platform to bring inspiration, a new mindset and motivation to those who feel stuck in not being able to let go. Now more than ever I've embraced the idea that life is too short for some and that its vital to run with the good moments when they present themselves in between the tough ones.

   Building resilience by doing nothing

   RESILIENT PEOPLE is a podcast hosted by me, Janet Fanaki. I share conversations with regular everyday people who are admired for their resilience and are helping others to be resilient too. Following the passing of many loved ones in a short amount of time, including my husband, parents and 25 year old daughter Isobel, season 5 of the podcast is focused on sharing stories from those who have moved forward in their grief. It's an opportunity to share advice about getting back to living again after suffering from loss. Grief is complicated, hard and sometimes seemingly never ending, so I'm using this platform to bring inspiration, a new mindset and motivation to those who feel stuck in not being able to let go. Now more than ever I've embraced the idea that life is too short for some and that its vital to run with the good moments when they present themselves in between the tough ones. Living in the in between moments is one of the ways how I'm building resilience.
