To keep listening to the rest of this episode, jump into Reconnected Social and start your free trial today! In so many ways, "Hold On to Your Kids" by Gabor Maté and Gordon Neufeld was such an influential read for our own parenting journeys and in creating The Reconnected! In this podcast, we unpack how kids can end up more attached to their friends than their parents and what that means for their development. We got real about our struggles with our own children and reflected on our teenage years, too, seeing how our society basically pushes kids toward peer connections while weakening the parent-child bond. And this may come as no surprise, but our breathwork practice has been a game-changer for reclaiming our connection with our kids when things get tough. 007 | A Conversation with Jeff Walker - Eleanor and Emma’s Business Coach

We are excited to welcome Jeff Walker to the seventh episode of Resonate by The Reconnected! Jeff is a New York Times bestselling author, creator of the Product Launch Formula (PLF), and business coach to Eleanor and Emma. Years ago, while watching PLF Free Masterclass, Eleanor proposed the idea for The Reconnected to Emma. And they never looked back, following his formula diligently since then! In this conversation, Jeff explains how he committed “career suicide,” leaving the corporate world to stay home with his kids while his wife worked to support the family financially. Money was tight, living on a single income, so he created an email list that eventually turned into a paid offer and became the basis for his program. His initial goal was to make $10,000 in a year to relieve family pressure, and now years later, he is helping others have multi-million dollar launches! He is a pioneer in online marketing and now gets to work with his family, which he calls serendipitous. He leads with his passion for community building. Emma and Eleanor give insight into how their beliefs around marketing have changed a lot since working with Jeff. They celebrate how using the PLF has given them freedom, has allowed their partners to be at home, for their families to travel, and ultimately lets them be of greater service in the world! Learn more about Jeff here (https://jeffwalker.com/) or follow him on Instagram @jeffwalkerco. 011 | Rites of Passage & Shamanic Womancraft with Jane Hardwicke Collings

Today’s guest on the Resonate Podcast is Jane Hardwicke Collings! It was such a privilege for us to have this conversation with her, especially since we have been following Jane’s work for so many years. This is a must-listen for anyone who has daughters! Jane speaks on the importance of reclaiming our menstrual cycles in a culture that shames them and invites us to support our girls through their rites of passage. Jane shares her journey from being a nurse to training in midwifery and how her own births deepened her midwifery practice. Going "to the pain" was a portal during the birth of her children, and experiencing altered states of consciousness and the interconnectedness of everything led to her life’s work of honouring women's cycles. Rooted in earth-based spirituality, Jane expands on the seasons in life and the menstrual cycle, the menstrual cycle being a doorway into womanhood. She also shares her wealth of knowledge through her amazing Spinning Wheels App, which helps to guide and connect you with the wisdom of your menstrual cycle, lunar cycle, earth seasons, and life cycles. Jane carries on the lineage from Jeannine Parvati Baker and runs the international School of Shamanic Womancraft (https://janehardwickecollings.com/) created in 2009. This conversation is rich in wisdom, and she encourages us to reclaim the wisdom of our cycles and the spiritual practice of menstruation, birth and all rites of passage. 010 | Spiritual Practice as a Parent w/Harmanjot

The 10th episode of the Resonate Podcast is a real fan girl moment for Emma and Eleanor! Today’s guest is Harmanjot, who beautifully shares her experience living a spiritually aligned life as a parent. Harmanjot is a Kundalini teacher and devotee of the practice. After finishing acting school, she found herself in a Kundalini and 40 days later, she started her teaching training and met her teacher, Guru Jagat. In Kundalini, they say, “the mother is the first teacher”, and Harmanjot shares practically how to incorporate this practice into your life and motherhood for more nourishment and nurturing. And also how the quest for ‘self-experience’ deepens our relationship with ourselves and free expression but allows our children to do the same! This conversation serves as a beautiful reminder to give ourselves permission and softness in the unfolding of motherhood yet encourages us to step into a full willingness to create a life of liberated self-expression as parents and a family! “You can’t expect things to happen without engagement; that it actually takes your participation. Life is a constant flow of love. All it takes is your participation. It takes you having just a little bit of courage to say you know what, I’m going to get in there and try and then things start to move in a mandala, and it’s active participation in life, which I think motherhood demands.” You can read more about Harmanjot and her offerings here or check out her Instagram @harmanjotkaur. 009 | Navigating the Teen Years w/Rachelle Garcia Seliga of Innate Traditions

Welcome to the 9th episode of the Resonate Podcast! We are excited to share this thought-provoking and important conversation about the journey of the “middle years” with our pre-teens and teens as a parent! Our guest, Rachelle Garcia Seliga, is a mother, wife and midwife who is midwifing a cultural shift through her teachings. She has a deep affinity for the postpartum period and has apprenticed with 17 home birth midwives in Mexico and the US but was surprised to find a void in the teen years transition. Rachelle highlights how meeting our teens’ “full spectrum of their emotionality” often requires us as parents to really grow up and examine our capacity to be with the full range of human experience without judging ourselves. These years are an opportunity to ‘step back in’ and re-do what we couldn’t support in our kids when they were younger. She asks, ‘What is innate within us?’ We access the blueprint and map by going within and sourcing personal authority. “This is how we create a living culture!” Rachelle has been greatly influenced by her ‘spiritual adoption’ in her 20s. Her ‘Godparents ushered her through young adulthood, and this ceremonial path brought her to where she is now. She now teaches through Innate Traditions, and her work centres around unifying principles, honouring innate wisdom primarily through maternal health and postpartum care. You can find her work here or follow her on Instagram @innatetraditions. This conversation can help anchor you if you're in the throes of the teen years or offer you rich insight no matter where you are in the parenting journey! Enjoy! This conversation centres around intuitive and conscious parenting. 005 | Suppress, Deny, Inhibit, Avoid

005 | Suppress, Deny, Inhibit, Avoid Welcome back to Resonate by The Reconnected! In this podcast we discuss one of the most common and deep issues we see parents facing - the suppression, denial and avoidance of feelings. Most parents can spend their days gritting their teeth or pushing away feelings they don’t want to acknowledge, and when asked, the majority of us say “I don’t have any suppressed emotions, everything is fine." But the reality is, throughout the day we are creating a stockpile of these suppressed emotions, and layering them deeper and deeper inside our body and mind, creating a cycle of suppression, avoidance and denial of our reality. Join us in this powerful conversation where we discuss the reality of childhood trauma and how it affects our relationships with our children, the queues to follow to uncover if you are experiencing suppressed emotions, and personal shares from Emma and Eleanor about their experiences of emotional maturity in their children and the lie of ‘perfect parenting’. 002 | Birth Patterns & Rebirthing Breathwork

002 | Birth Patterns & Rebirthing Breathwork Coming off the back of our last episode about the birth of Emma's Miracle Twins, we felt it was the perfect time to bring forth today's episode covering Birth Patterns and Rebirthing Breathwork. The way we are born and the way we give birth has a profound effect on us, as well as, our relationship with others and life itself. Our experience in utero and birth, is the source of our main impressions and conditioning that we hold. We are both trained in different branches of Rebirthing Breathwork and it is an honour to share with you all a little bit of the history around this style of Breathwork and our personal experiences exploring it through our own practice. We both acknowledge the collective shift we have seen, even in last year, in personal rebirths that are happening and the increase in volume around the topic of birth! What a time to be alive. How we experienced our birth can impact us our entire adult lives. Even as adults, we can be unconsciously re-creating patterns in our lives that are an expression of our limbic imprint, we call this your Birth Pattern. To help you on your journey, we have created a Birth Patterns Quiz and it will show you how your birth may still be impacting your relationships, your creativity and the way you view the world. To try our Birth Patterns Quiz: www.birthpattern.com/sf/0a58c667 (https://www.birthpattern.com/sf/0a58c667) We also mentioned a few groundbreaking people in this episode whom are in the Breathwork and Birth field, their details can be found below: Special Mentions: Leonard Orr - Founder of Rebirthing Breathwork Sondra Ray - Author of Ideal Birth Stanislav Grof - Founder of Holotropic Breathwork Dr. Bruce Perry - Developer of the Neurosequential Model Alakh Analda - Founder of Rebirthing Breathwork Mastery / Breathwork Mastery Ina May Gaskin - Author of Spiritual Midwifery With love, Eleanor and Emma.
