Welcome to Restorative Talks with Why me?, an exciting podcast which explores Restorative Justice and how it can transform the lives of people affected by crime.
Restorative Justice is where someone who has been harmed by crime has a dialogue with the person that harmed them. This can change the lives of victims of crime, allowing them to heal and move on, and gives people who have committed crime the chance to make amends and change their ways.
We will be joined by people who have experienced crime and Restorative Justice experts as we explore the impact of this powerful tool.
In this episode of Restorative Talks with Why me? (www.why-me.org), we talk to our Patron, Jo Berry CBE. In 1984, Jo’s father, Sir Anthony Berry MP, was killed in the IRA bombing of the Brighton hotel. Jo later met with the man responsible for planting the bomb. Out of this journey, Jo become an international speaker, peacebuilder, and founder of the charity Building Bridges for Peace.
