About Resurrection City Church - St. Paul Minnesota
Resurrection City Church exists to minister to St Paul, MN. Our vision is to glorify God by seeing people, our city, and the world made new in Jesus, our Savior and King.
Increasingly, leadership is not an ambition people have. Whether it be the loneliness and isolation that comes with it, or the pressure and expectations leaders have put on them, people just don’t seem to want to lead that badly. This is true in the wider world, and also in the church. It can feel easy to just let someone else lead. But Christian leadership is essential. Jesus tells us that the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. In other words, there’s a lot to do, and always a need for more people to jump in and help.
Doing ministry matters. There are many, many reasons to lead, which just means ‘you happen to the world rather than the world happening to you. It matters because it’s what Jesus did, and it’s one of the key ways he helps us to become more like him. And it matters because it’s what Jesus himself told us is one of the key ways we show our love back to him. In this message, Pastor Joel studies Luke 10:1-2, 17-20 and gathers five key insights into Christian ministry. In this passionate and very personal message, Joel encourages us all to consider that God might be calling us to step into leadership in some way.
