What happens when we stop settling for just enough of God and decide we want all of Him? That question sits at the heart of a powerful message drawn from Ezekiel 47, where the prophet is led through a river that grows progressively deeper -- from ankle deep to waters too deep to cross. Each level of the river is not just a picture of spiritual growth; it is a picture of confrontation. Ankle deep water confronts our walk -- the habits, environments, and paths we keep returning to even when God is calling us out of them. Knee deep water confronts our prayer life -- the self-reliance we dress up as strength and the worrying we do instead of worshiping. Waist deep water confronts our strength -- the illusion that we can carry everything ourselves. And the deepest waters, the waters we must swim in, confront our need for control. The deeper we go, the more resistance we feel, and that resistance is not a sign to turn back. It is a sign that God is calling us further. The central insight here is both challenging and freeing: the river of God does not just carry us, it confronts us. And every level of depth requires a corresponding level of surrender. If we find ourselves feeling stuck, it may be because our mouths are praying for deeper while our feet keep choosing familiar. This message invites us to ask honestly -- how deep are we willing to go?

Guard The Gates
What if the greatest threats to our spiritual life are not the dramatic attacks we see coming, but the subtle, unguarded entry points we leave open every single day? This message takes us deep into the idea that the enemy of our souls does not always need to break down walls -- he simply walks through gates we have left unlatched. Drawing from Proverbs 4:23, which calls us to guard our hearts with all diligence because out of the heart flow the very issues of life, we are invited to examine four critical gates: the eye gate, the ear gate, the mind gate, and the heart gate. Each one represents a doorway through which either light or darkness can enter and take root. The spiritual insight here is both simple and sobering -- what we let in will eventually lead us. Whether it is the images we consume, the voices we allow to speak into our lives, the thoughts we rehearse, or the compromises we quietly tolerate, each of these has the power to shape the direction of our faith. This is not a message of condemnation but of protection, reminding us that God's call to guard our hearts is an act of love, not restriction.

Stay In The River
What happens when we decide to go deeper with God and the enemy immediately shows up to pull us back? This message takes us straight into that tension, reminding us that the enemy cannot stop the river of God's presence, but he will absolutely try to pull us out of position to receive it. Drawing from the account in Genesis 3 where Eve encounters the serpent, we are shown that the enemy's playbook has never changed. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, as described in 1 John 2:16, are the same three tactics used in the garden, the same three used against Jesus in the wilderness, and the same three being used against us today. The insight here is striking: the enemy does not need new tricks. He simply changes the packaging. Like a fast food chain swapping the toy in the meal, the temptation looks different on the surface but runs on the same engine. Understanding this exposes the enemy's strategy and puts us in a far stronger position to resist it. We are not helpless. We are informed, and that changes everything.
