If you want God’s heart for Israel and a stronger biblical worldview, you’re in the right place.
What does it really mean to be a Zionist—and why has the word become so controversial, even within the Church?
In Part 1 of this two-part series on The Reveal Podcast, Patrick and Rebecca Verbaten of Bridges for Peace USA unpack one of the most misunderstood and emotionally charged words in today's conversations about Israel: Zionism.
While the term itself is relatively modern, the biblical connection between the Jewish people and the land of Israel goes back thousands of years. From God's everlasting covenant with Abraham to the prophetic promises of Israel's restoration, Scripture reveals a powerful truth about Zion, the Jewish people, and the heart of God.
Discover the surprising role Christians played in the early movement for Jewish restoration, the historical origins of modern Zionism, and why supporting Israel's right to exist doesn't mean agreeing with every decision its government makes. In
Part 1, you'll discover:
- What Zionism actually means—and what it doesn't.
- The difference between political Zionism and biblical Zionism.
- Why Zion is central to God's covenant promises.
- How Christians advocated for Jewish restoration centuries before modern Zionism.
- Why the word "Zionist" has become so divisive.
- How believers can stand on biblical convictions while speaking with truth, love, and clarity.
If you've ever wondered whether you can call yourself a Zionist, questioned what the Bible actually says about Israel, or struggled to navigate difficult conversations about the Jewish people, this two-part conversation is for you.
You don't have to agree with everything Israel does to love what God loves.
Join us for Part 1 of The Z Word as we go beyond political labels, explore the Scriptures, and begin uncovering the biblical foundation of Zionism.
And don't miss Part 2, where we continue this important conversation and dig even deeper into what it means to understand Zionism through a biblical lens.

Gen Z Is NOT Who You Think They Are | Luke Moon
What if everything we've been told about Gen Z and Israel is wrong? We're hearing that the next generation is abandoning biblical truth, turning away from Israel, and losing its faith. But is that the whole story?
In this episode of Reveal, Patrick and Rebecca Verbeten sit down with Luke Moon, founder of Generation Zion and Two Hammers, to challenge the narrative surrounding Gen Z and uncover what is really happening among young Christians today.
Luke shares how a generation often labeled as disengaged is actually hungry for truth, authenticity, and something worth standing for. From college campuses to conversations about faith, Israel, and antisemitism, young people are asking hard questions—and they're not satisfied with easy answers.
Together, they discuss why the Church must rethink how it reaches young people, the importance of genuine discipleship over institutional influence, and what it takes to raise courageous leaders who will boldly stand with Israel and the Jewish people.
The question isn't simply who will carry the torch for Israel. It's whether we're willing to equip, trust, and champion the generation ready to carry it.
If you're a parent, grandparent, pastor, or young Christian wondering what the future holds for Christian support of Israel, this conversation is for you.

America: Christian not Judeo?
Is America's heritage Christian, with the "Judeo" part added later by someone with an agenda? Patrick and Rebecca took that question to Washington, DC, and let the city answer it. Moses holding the tablets in Hebrew at the Supreme Court. Micah, Isaiah, and the Psalms carved into stone across the capital. When the people who built this nation wanted to say something about law and justice, they went to the Hebrew scriptures again and again. In this episode of Reveal, we talk about why there is no Christianity without its Jewish roots, where our rights come from, and why the effort to separate "Judeo" from "Christian" is a spiritual battle. We also share practical ways to live out these values at home, in church, in your community, and at the ballot box.Filmed on location in Washington, DC, during America's 250th year.Reveal is the podcast of Bridges for Peace USA.
