Learning to Live Unannoyed
(https://revivallife.church/sermons/learning-to-live-unannoyed/) Learning to Live Unannoyed In this message, you’ll learn how to live unannoyed as the Holy Spirit develops patience and kindness in your everyday relationships and frustrations. Patience reflects the character of a God who is compassionate, merciful, and slow to anger. We have personally benefited from His willingness to forgive and bear with us. The Holy Spirit grows that same character within us as we cooperate with His work. “Patience is remaining steady under strain.” Frustration does not have to control our words, attitudes, or actions. Patience is an active submission to God that changes how we view our time and priorities. Psalm 37 calls us to rest in the Lord, wait patiently, and turn away from anger. Trusting God helps us question the hurry that makes people seem like obstacles. We can remain present, listen carefully, and take responsibility for our responses while maintaining healthy boundaries. Kindness turns attention into practical care for another person’s good. The Good Samaritan allowed compassion to interrupt his journey and shape how he used his time and resources. “Patience makes room for people. Kindness uses that room to do them good.” Following the Spirit means noticing needs and responding with help. A life marked by patience and kindness makes the goodness of Jesus visible to others. When we respond poorly, repentance includes seeking God’s forgiveness and making things right with the person we hurt. The Spirit’s fruit becomes something we can share, blessing our neighbors and creating opportunities to speak about Jesus. As you reflect on this message this week, consider the following: Patience means remaining steady under strain. What triggers your annoyance? Practice listening before reacting this week. Patience is an active submission to God. Where is hurry making people feel like obstacles? Trust God with your time and give someone your full attention. Patience makes room for people. Kindness uses that room to do them good. Whose need could you notice and meet this week? How to Have Joy and Peace in a Time of Chaos
(https://revivallife.church/sermons/how-to-have-joy-and-peace-in-a-time-of-chaos/) How to Have Joy and Peace in a Time of Chaos In this message, discover how to experience lasting joy and peace even when life feels chaotic. Learn how the Holy Spirit develops these qualities in us and how following His leading allows us to become a source of hope and encouragement to others. Joy and peace begin at the cross. Romans 15:8–13 reminds us that through Jesus, God has brought us into His family and given us a hope that circumstances cannot take away. Our culture often connects happiness and security to getting what we want, but God offers something deeper: contentment. As the message reminds us, “Contentment is a deep sense of security, satisfaction, and stability rooted in our relationship with God.” The Holy Spirit is building God’s kingdom within us. Romans 14:17 describes that kingdom as righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. These qualities develop as we grow in Christ, even while facing difficulties. “Our circumstances don’t have to be settled for us to be settled internally.” Spiritual growth takes time, but God’s work produces lasting change. The Holy Spirit produces the fruit, but we must fertilize the tree. Through prayer, Scripture, obedience, fellowship, and serving others, we cultivate lives where His fruit can grow. Jesus connects obedience with fullness of joy in John 15:10–11. The fruit we experience is also meant to carry seeds that bless others and help them encounter Jesus. Galatians 5:22–25 provides the practical answer to living with joy and peace in a chaotic world: Live by the Spirit and follow the Spirit. As we follow His leading, He changes us, and what God produces in us becomes a blessing through us. As you reflect on this message this week, consider the following: Joy and peace begin at the cross. We often look for contentment by trying to get our circumstances settled. What situations in your life are you allowing to determine whether you experience joy and peace? How can you begin rooting your security in what Jesus has already accomplished? The Holy Spirit is building God’s kingdom within us. Spiritual fruit takes time to develop, and experiencing fear, anxiety, or disappointment doesn’t mean God isn’t working in your life. Where can you recognize growth in how you respond to difficult circumstances? What might the Holy Spirit still be developing in you? The Holy Spirit produces the fruit, but we have to fertilize the tree. The fruit of the Spirit is meant to bless us and carry seeds that reach others. How are you cultivating an environment where the Holy Spirit can produce fruit in your life? Who around you could benefit from the peace and joy God is developing in you? Seedless Fruit in an Obese World
(https://revivallife.church/sermons/seedless-fruit-in-an-obese-world/) Seedless Fruit in an Obese World In this message, discover how the Holy Spirit transforms our character and why the fruit He produces is meant to do more than improve our own lives. Learn how Spirit-filled living can bless others, reveal Jesus, and leave a lasting spiritual legacy. Christians have more access to biblical teaching, books, conferences, and spiritual resources than ever before. Yet many people outside the church have a negative impression of Christianity. This raises an important question: “How can we be so well fed on the things of God and still leave people with such a bitter taste of Christianity?” Galatians 5 contrasts the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit. Paul is not simply giving believers another list of rules to follow. He is describing the character the Holy Spirit produces as we follow Him. Love stands at the beginning of that list because genuine Christian love desires what is best for others, even when we disagree with them. The fruit of the Spirit is not intended for our benefit alone. Just as natural fruit carries seeds that can produce another harvest, the character God develops in us is meant to reach other people. “The sweetness of the fruit, it is a benefit,” but the seed carries the possibility of multiplication. Love becomes visible through action. First John 3:16–18 reminds us that Jesus demonstrated His love by laying down His life. Spirit-produced love moves beyond recognizing someone’s suffering to responding to their needs, even when doing so costs us something. “The fruit is grown in your life, but someone else is supposed to benefit from it.” As we surrender to the Holy Spirit, our lives can become a testimony that leads others to glorify God. As you reflect on this message this week, consider the following: What you feed is what grows. Are your attitudes and actions reflecting the character of Christ? Where do you need to follow the Holy Spirit more closely? The fruit is growing in your life, but someone else is supposed to benefit from it. Who needs to experience the love, patience, or kindness God is producing in you? Love is willing to act, even when it costs us something. Who needs more than your compassion? What practical step can you take to show them love this week?
