Are you ready for an honest conversation about Christian living in the 21st century? Curious about how we reconcile the rich promises of God with the broken reality of life? What about finding joy in the journey and laughing at ourselves along the way? If so, feel free to pull up a chair.
Many topics will arise, but a lot is on the table: the Bible, books, news, sports, technology, conversations, random observations - all the things that spark a thoughtful discussion.
I want to explore it all: wins, losses, joys, sorrows, tears, laughter - everything that makes up this thing we call life. We only get one shot at this journey, and as I get older, I refuse to leave any stone unturned.
My name is David Ross. My family has faced - and still faces - tremendous challenges. Through it all, God has been faithful. In August 2024, I revved up with a ministerial license, making my life even more interesting. I have lived long enough to hold plenty of opinions and I know some stuff, but I have far more questions than answers. Join me as I navigate my way home.
In this episode, David explores the basis for believing in the Bible, moving to the foundation in a discussion of the nature of truth. He explores truths that are found in the natural, as well as other truths that go beyond the known physical world, such as logic and mathematics.
Spoiler alert! David believes there is truth, that truth is absolute, and truth is a person - Jesus Christ.

Revving Up - Ep 19: Let Go To Grab On
In this episode, David explores themes of the new year. A big part of moving forward is letting go of the past in the framework of time and creation. Letting go allows God's redemption and grace to work in your life as you move into new challenges ahead. It is hoped that afterward you can embrace the future with a sense of freedom and redemption.

Revving Up - Ep 18: Christmas Carols with Tony Chung
In this final episode of 2025, David takes a detour with his colleague and good friend, AWARD-WINNING Tony Chung.
The conversation begins with a festive introduction, leading into a discussion about an award and recognition received by Tony from Seramount, an organization involved with HR practices. In Tony's case, he received a caregiver award for his guidance in raising a family along with managing the care of his aging parents.
They then take a deep dive into the theology of Christmas carols and the significance of curiosity in faith and life. The conversation concludes with cultural observations and reflections on the commercialization of holidays.
The conversation delves into the evolution of Christmas carols, exploring their historical origins and the emotional impact they have on individuals. It also highlights the significance of Christmas carols in connecting people across generations and cultures, as well as the personal experiences and memories associated with these timeless songs.
And, we get to hear (and see!) Tony sing!
