Why does Carter Clawson wear a suit, fedora, and dress clothes almost every day?In this episode of RezRootz, Emmanuel sits down with Carter to hear the story behind his style and discover that it goes far beyond simply liking nice clothes.Carter shares how growing up on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, being raised around his elders, and seeing how his grandparents carried themselves helped shape the way he dresses today. He also talks about being afraid of what others might think, learning to step into his own style, and becoming more confident in who he is.The conversation then turns to a deeper question: How often do we judge someone simply by what they wear?Through 1 Samuel 16:7, James 2:2–4, Colossians 3:12, and 1 Corinthians 10:31, Emmanuel and Carter talk about appearance, favoritism, humility, character, and remembering that God looks at the heart. This episode isn’t about saying everyone needs to wear a suit. It’s about the heart and intentionality behind what we do.Different styles. Different stories. Same purpose. As Carter puts it: Dress 2 Bless.Rooted in Culture. United in Christ.Stay Rooted. 🪶

Righteous, Still Fighting
In this honest episode of RezRootz, Daniel Esplin joins the conversation to talk about pornography, lust, shame, and finding freedom in Christ. What began as a real brother-to-brother conversation on the road became a deeper discussion about hidden sin, confession, accountability, and identity.
Daniel shares how early exposure affected the way he viewed love and relationships, and he points listeners back to the truth that lust and love are not the same. Together, the conversation reminds us that freedom does not come from hiding, pretending, or fighting temptation in our own strength. Freedom begins when we bring the struggle into the light, flee temptation, and believe who we are in Christ.
This episode is not about shame. It is about hope, honesty, surrender, and learning to walk as someone made new in Jesus.
