诫子书（附译文）
<p>夫君子之行，静以修身，俭以养德。非淡泊无以明志，非宁静无以致远。夫学须静也，才须学也，非学无以广才，非志无以成学。淫慢则不能励精，险躁则不能冶性。年与时驰，意与日去，遂成枯落，多不接世，悲守穷庐，将复何及！<br /></p><p>译文：<br /></p><p>君子的操守，（应该）恬静以修善自身，俭朴以淳养品德。不看轻世俗的名利就不能明确自己的志向，不宁静就不能高瞻远瞩。学习必须静心，才识需要学习，不学习无从拓广才识，不立志不能学习成功。沉迷滞迟就不能励精求进，偏狭躁进就不能冶炼性情。年年岁岁时日飞驰，意志也随光阴一日日逝去，于是渐渐枯零凋落，大多不能融入社会，可悲地守着贫寒的居舍，那时（后悔）哪来得及！<br /></p>

为学一首示子侄（附译文）
<p>天下事有难易乎？为之，则难者亦易矣；不为，则易者亦难矣。人之为学有难易乎？学之，则难者亦易矣；不学，则易者亦难矣。吾资之昏，不逮人也；吾才之庸，不逮人也；旦旦而学之，久而不怠焉，迄乎成，而亦不知其昏与庸也。吾资之聪，倍人也；吾才之敏，倍人也；屏弃而不用，其与昏与庸无以异也。圣人之道，卒于鲁也传之。然则昏庸聪敏之用，岂有常哉？<br /></p><p>译文：<br /></p><p>天底下的事有困难和容易的区别吗？只要去做，那么困难也变容易了；如果不去做，那么容易也就变困难了。人们求学有困难和容易区别吗？去学的话，困难也变容易了；不去学的话，容易也会变困难。我天生资质愚笨，比不上别人；我天生材质平庸，比不上别人；但只要天天学习，长久不懈怠，到了有成就的时候，也就不知道自己的愚笨平庸了。我天资聪明，比平常人高出一倍；我反应敏捷，比平常人高出一倍；（如果）舍弃不用，那跟愚笨和平庸的人就没什么不同了。圣人孔子的学说，最终是靠天资迟钝的曾参传下来的的。既然如此，愚笨平庸、聪明敏捷，哪里是固定不变的呢？<br /></p>

马说（附译文）
<p>世有伯乐，然后有千里马。千里马常有，而伯乐不常有。故虽有名马，祗（zhǐ）辱于奴隶人之手，骈（pián）死于槽（cáo）枥（lì）之间，不以千里称也。<br /></p><p>马之千里者，一食（shí）或尽粟（sù）一石(dàn)。食（sì）马者不知其能千里而食（sì）也。是马也，虽有千里之能，食（shí）不饱，力不足，才美不外见（xiàn），且欲与常马等不可得，安求其能千里也？<br /></p><p>策之不以其道，食（sì）之不能尽其材，鸣之而不能通其意，执策而临之，曰：“天下无马！”呜呼！其真无马邪（yé）？其真不知马也！<br /></p><p>译文：<br /></p><p>世上先有伯乐，然后才有千里马。千里马经常有，但伯乐不会经常有。所以即使有千里马，只是辱没在喂马的人的手中，（和普通的马）一同死在槽枥之间，不以千里马著称。<br /></p><p>（能日行）千里的马，吃一顿有时要吃一石粮食。饲养马的人不知道它（日行）千里，把它当作普通的马来喂养。这样的马，即使有（日行）千里的能力，吃不饱，力气不足，才能美德显现不出来。况且想要享有普通的马一样的待遇也得不到，怎么能要求它（日行）千里呢?<br /></p><p>养马的人鞭策它却不能使用正确的驾驭方法，喂养它却不能使它充分施展它日行千里的才能，听它嘶鸣却不能通晓它的意思。拿着鞭子走到它跟前说：“天下没有千里马！”唉！真的没有（千里）马吗？是人们真不认识千里马吧！<br /></p>
