Uncover timeless biblical insights with the Richland Center Free Methodist Church Podcast. Each week, journey through scripture with Sunday sermons by Pastor Tim Ward and guests, reflecting our enduring mission to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.
When conversations turn bitter and differences become reasons to keep our distance, mercy can be hard to offer. We may hesitate to welcome someone, listen patiently, or forgive an old hurt. What might change in our homes, churches, and communities if we met those moments with the grace God has shown us?
In “The Gospel of Generous Grace,” Superintendent Carl Brannon draws from 2 Corinthians 9:6–15 and Jesus’ teaching in Luke 6 to explore generosity rooted in God’s own character. His grace enables us to share freely, make room for others, and extend mercy even to people who are difficult to love. Through the Holy Spirit’s work in us, these everyday acts can help cultivate a community where grace takes root.
Receive God’s grace. Sow generosity where you are.

ROI (Return on Investment)
“Good, but busy.” It’s an easy answer when life fills up with work, family commitments, and the next thing on the calendar. Yet time is one resource we can never earn back. Where are we investing it, and are those investments reflecting what matters most to God?
In “ROI (Return on Investment),” Adam Burns explores Ephesians 5:15–17 and Paul’s call to walk wisely, make the best use of our time, and understand the Lord’s will. Small, everyday choices can gradually draw us away from God or help us grow attentive to His leading. Through practical encouragement, Adam invites us to make room for prayer, Scripture, and opportunities to love and serve others. This week, choose one intentional way to invest the time God has given you.

What Is Shaping You?
A familiar idea can become so comfortable that we stop asking whether it is true. It may protect our pride, excuse a habit, or help us avoid a change we know we need. What happens when we let God examine the beliefs we have learned to defend?
In Romans 12:1–2, Paul begins with God’s mercy and calls us to offer our whole lives to him. Chris Alderman explores how the Holy Spirit renews our minds through God’s truth, helping us recognize the influences shaping us and respond with humility, obedience, and love.
