Right on Rangers is where Rangers fans ride the season in real time.
The LIVE shows are the heartbeat. Big wins, ugly losses, bullpen chaos, breakout heaters, trade rumors, roster debates, and the takes that come with actually caring about this team.
Sometimes those takes get hot. That’s part of watching 162 with people who are invested. But the reaction still has receipts. We use stats, film, history, roster context, and what’s happening on the field to figure out what the game actually revealed.
Between LIVE shows, we go deeper on the players, decisions, stories, and moments shaping Texas baseball.
Rangers first, always. When the calendar turns, the Cowboys, Longhorns, Mavericks, and the biggest Texas sports stories get their run too.
If you want sterile box-score recaps, this probably isn’t your show. If you want passionate Rangers talk with actual baseball underneath it, welcome in.
Arch Manning and Raleek Brown Lift Texas Past Missouri
Texas turned a 20–20 tie into a 34–20 win at Missouri, with Arch Manning throwing three touchdown passes and Raleek Brown scoring twice in the fourth quarter.
Austin goes live for the final possessions, reacts to the turnover that set up the clinching touchdown and makes the case for Brown as Texas's offensive player of the game. He weighs Manning's stronger second half, Jermaine Bishop Jr.'s argument for more snaps, the officiating debate and Steve Sarkisian's decision to kick on fourth-and-one. The conversation turns to Texas's playoff path and next week's trip to LSU, with concerns about the Longhorns' consistency.
Corrections: The late takeaway was a fumble forced by Warren Roberson and recovered by Graceson Littleton, not an interception. Littleton returned it 44 yards. Texas had 104 net rushing yards; Arch Manning had six carries for minus one yard, while Missouri's three sacks cost 29 yards.

Rangers Need a Spark: Is Jazz Chisholm the Answer?
The Rangers posted a better offensive rate in 2026 and still scored fewer runs.
Austin questions the return of hitting coach Justin Viele after Texas finished 25th in runs and stole 56 fewer bases than in 2025. He makes the case for a more energetic roster and considers Jazz Chisholm Jr. as a potential fit. Bleacher Report's Joel Reuter projected Jazz at second base for Texas in September, but that was speculation, not reported negotiations. He also weighs the cost of trading Corey Seager, Jacob deGrom or Nathan Eovaldi. Ezequiel Duran's Gold Glove, Jake Burger's future, Sebastian Walcott and the catching situation also enter the conversation.
Correction: Jake Burger remains under team control through 2028, leaving two seasons after 2026, not three.

The Rangers' $170 Million Roster Needs More Versatility
Texas enters the offseason with around $170 million in projected player payroll, and Chris Young still has some uncomfortable roster decisions to make.
Austin argues that Ezequiel Duran should play every day without being tied to second base and questions how Joc Pederson fits a younger, more athletic Rangers club. He weighs re-signing Cal Quantrill, past spending misses, Corey Seager and Jacob deGrom's no-trade clauses, Jacob Latz's bullpen role, Jack Leiter's recovery, Sebastian Walcott's development, and a hypothetical deGrom trade. The recorded LIVE also gets into the Brewers–Rays World Series and postseason player bonuses before closing with Jake Burger's Philanthropist of the Year honor.
Recorded as Game 5 approached and began; Milwaukee later won to clinch the World Series.
Corrections: The postseason players' pool draws from the first two games of each Wild Card Series, the first three of each Division Series, and the first four of each League Championship Series and the World Series. Additional games do not increase that pool, and teams award full and partial shares rather than dividing bonuses evenly. Jacob deGrom's 2027 salary is $37 million; his conditional 2028 option starts at $20 million but can rise. Tyler Mahle made 19 Rangers starts across 2024–25. Flipping two Texas losses to wins would have produced an 82–80 record, ahead of Houston's 81–81 finish. Milwaukee's eight-run inning in World Series Game 3 was the fifth; Tampa Bay's Game 4 comeback was in the 12th.
