How to Stop Picking Up What You’ve Already Given to God | Trusting God, Part 2
Have you ever prayed about something, told God you were putting it in His hands, and then turned around and picked it right back up?
We say we trust God, but sometimes our actions tell a different story.
We find ourselves worrying, overthinking, seeking answers from everyone around us, or trying to control situations we’ve already surrendered to God.
But are we really trusting God, or are we only trusting Him when things happen according to our timing and expectations?
In this episode of the Rise to Freedom Podcast, Cecilia Columbus continues the Trusting God series with an honest conversation about surrendering control, overcoming worry, and learning to trust God’s timing.
Through Philippians 4:6–7, Isaiah 55:8–9, and Matthew 6, we’re reminded that God’s faithfulness never fails. Even when we cannot see what He’s doing, we can trust Him without having to figure everything out ourselves.

When God Doesn’t Answer Your Prayers: Will You Still Trust Him?
Are you struggling to trust God because your prayers seem unanswered? Have you ever asked, “God, where are You?” or wondered why things aren’t changing despite your prayers?
What happens when God says no? What happens when life doesn’t go as planned? Will you continue trusting Him even when you don’t understand what’s happening?
In this episode of the Rise to Freedom Podcast, we’re having an honest conversation about trusting God during difficult times, unanswered prayers, and remaining faithful when life doesn’t go the way we expected.
I’m sharing my personal experience of realizing that although I said I trusted God, my actions and decisions didn’t always reflect that trust.
We’ll also reflect on Job and the three Hebrew men in Daniel 3, who remind us what it means to remain committed to God regardless of the outcome.
If you’re feeling discouraged, disappointed, or struggling with your faith, I hope this conversation encourages you to examine your relationship with God and remember His faithfulness.
Because at the end of the day, it’s not about trusting God for the thing. It’s about trusting God, period.
