The Lord Meets Moses (Exodus 34)
<p>This section of Exodus captures the remarkable encounter Moses has with the Lord. He is currently one of the pastors of Christchurch Harborough in Leicestershire, and is a member of the Affinity Council, Evangelical Alliance Council, and TGC-UK Forum. The Lord Listens to Moses (Exodus 32)
<p>This section of Exodus is one of the most remarkable of the Old Testament as Moses intercedes for his people and the Lord listens, despite his fierce anger.</p><p>In it, we are shown the power of intercession and the need for someone to stand in the breach for us; none other than the Lord Jesus Christ himself.</p><p>This is the third of four messages given during the evening celebrations at Rising Lights 2026 (6-10 April, 2026).</p><p><strong>ABOUT THE SPEAKER</strong>:</p><p>Rick serves as Pastor of All Nations Church Barkingside, North East London. He is married to Esther and they have a young energetic son. The Lord Uses Moses (Exodus 14:13-22 & Psalm 77)
<p>The Passover and subsequent flight from Egypt is the great redemption story of the Old Testament and becomes the paradigm for all of salvation.</p><p>Moses is used by the Lord to lead his people out despite their fear.</p><p>The Lord sets Moses before the people and, following him, they are led to safety and salvation.</p><p>This is the second of four messages given during the evening celebrations at Rising Lights 2026 (6-10 April, 2026).</p><p><strong>ABOUT THE SPEAKER</strong>:</p><p>Maurice McCracken is the Lead Minister of Christ Church Liverpool, and has led the staff team there for 15 years. He previously studied Law and then Philosophy, and worked for UCCF for 8 years.
