Join us weekly to listen to the message from the St Joseph location of River of Life Church. Our goal is to share the word of God in a way that relates to you so you can put it to work in your everyday life.
This week we continue our series on praying first by looking at praying the names of God in scripture using Psalm 23 as our template. This incredible Psalm holds deep truths about who God is, and by praying through it we can pray through the different names of God we find in scripture. When we pray based on who God is, it centers our prayer life on God rather than our feelings, wants, or perspectives. This is an incredibly powerful way to pray and we're excited to dig into that truth this week.

Pray First - Week 4
This week we continue our prayer series talking about the Prayer of Jabez. This is a popular passage in scripture where Jabez prays that God would bless him, expand his territory, be with him, and protect him. At first this prayer can seem like a selfish thing to pray, but when you really look into the biblical definition of being blessed you will see that this is centered on God and his kingdom advancing. With God as the one how pours out his will in our lives, we should be praying for blessing every day.
This was also a family service with kids as a part of the message.

Pray First - Week 3
Starting this week and continuing over the next few weeks we will be diving into different scriptural prayer plans you can use to enhance your prayer life. This week we start that process by looking at the Lord's Prayer and what Jesus taught on on how to pray. The Lord's Prayer is an outline for prayer for us that can guide us through effective ways to pray and also teaches us powerful truths about how we view God and faith.
