Jonah 3: The Overthrow Nobody Expected [(And What It Reveals About God) Ep. 2 of 3]
What if the story of Jonah is even more surprising than you've been told? In Jonah 3, an entire city turns toward God, a reluctant prophet delivers an unexpected message, and God announces an overthrow that turns out to be something nobody expected.In this second installment of our verse-by-verse study through the Book of Jonah, we explore the incredible story of Nineveh's repentance, the meaning behind God's 40-day warning, and what the original Hebrew reveals about one of the most misunderstood moments in the entire book.But there's more happening here than a city avoiding destruction.Why did Jonah hate the people of Nineveh so much? Why did a wicked city respond to God's message when God's own prophet initially refused?
