Seit 26 Jahren nimmt Martin an Wettkämpfen teil. Erst bei Straßenrennen, dann folgten Trails und Ultratrails. Als Ultratrailer hat er die Bronzemedaille im Team bei der WM gewonnen, die Bronzemedaille beim Bergmarathon und er war 2015 Deutscher Meister in Ultratrail. Neben der obligatorischen Schnellfragerunde habe ich mich mit Martin vor allem über seine Trainingserfahrungen und die Ernährung Rund um den Wettkampf unterhalten. Da er selbst 2012 am TAR teilgenommen hatte, konnte ich auch in dieser Folge wieder Erfahrungen aus erster Hand sammeln!

In Teil 2 haben wir zu Beginn über Holgers erste, etwas speziellere, TAR Teilnahme geplaudert. Zentrales Gesprächsthema und natürlich von meiner Seite von höchstem Interesse war aber vor allem der Ablauf einer typischen TAR Woche, auf was man als Newcomer im Verlaufe des Wettberwerbs achten und was man tunlichst vermeiden sollte. Highlights aus 15 Jahren und jede Menge praktische Tipps um den TransalpineRun zu finishen sind natürlich inklusive 😜!

Es war mir eine ganz besondere Ehre eine wahre TAR Legende im Podcast zu haben. Holger Schulze! Er hat ganze 15mal den TAR gefinished! Eine unglaubliche Leistung und Anlass genug mich mal mit ihm zu unterhalten! Im Teil 1 haben wir zum Einstieg über den Start ins Laufjahr 2021, das eine oder andere Persönliche und vor allem über den Reiz aber auch die Herausforderungen beim Transalpine Run unterhalten.
