[…] Maybe it's good for this team and this program and this fan base to take its medicine a little bit and remember that these nine and three, 10 and two seasons we've had under Franklin for the better part of a decade were not always guaranteed. Penn State was bad for a lot of my childhood. Penn State was bad for a lot of the time I was in college. Penn State has been bad in the 2020s, multiple times. They're going to have probably built three years where they win fewer than eight games, at least in the 2020s. That's not very good. I'm not happy with that as a Penn State fan. And I think if Penn State is able to take their medicine and come out on the other side and realize what it's going to take to run a serious football program, it might be good for the long-term health of Penn State as a football organization.
