Thế là mẹ tranh thủ canh tác trên đó, cặm cụi nhổ cỏ, che chắn, tìm đủ loại giống gieo trồng; thành quả là một công 3 việc: mẹ vừa có nơi hí hoáy vận động tuổi già, lại đủ rau củ quả ăn mỗi ngày; rồi cứ thi thoảng, mẹ lại đóng thùng xốp, gửi vào cho thằng con trai nòi là tôi, năm nay 45 tuổi, và các cháu nội vàng bạc châu báu của bà (khi thì đồ chơi, khi thì trứng gà)</p> <p>Mỗi lần mẹ sửa soạn gửi hàng xuống sài gòn, thì con gái lại hậm hực phàn nàn , còn con dâu thì nhác ăn. Chỉ có con trai nòi, là căm cụi, hết lòng vì tình yêu thương của mẹ</p>

<p> </p> <p>Giờ đây, tôi đã là ông bố U50 hai con, định cư ở Sài Gòn. Cứ Tết về với mẹ, là anh chị và các cháu, tới các bữa ăn, kể cả ăn sáng, hầu như luôn tập trung ăn ở nhà mẹ. Vợ và chị tôi phụ trách nấu ăn cho cả nhà, làm giỗ bố. Và món quà ý nghĩa nhất giờ đây có lẽ là những bữa ăn đó: cả nhà ngồi bên nhau, ăn món ăn từ vợ và chị Hai nấu, ăn các loại rau từ vườn của mẹ, ăn bánh lá của mẹ làm. Có lẽ trên đời, không còn gì quan trọng hơn các khoảng khắc đó nữa</p> <p>Tết về với mẹ, tôi chẳng còn hí hửng có cuộc gọi là đi, không có cuộc gọi là tự tìm ra người để gọi, chẳng còn hội nhóm hô hào banh bóng, họp lớp. Tôi ngại, sợ gặp hầu hết bạn bè, tôi chẳng còn bù khú về trễ, bỏ cơm nữa</p> <p>Tết của tôi giờ đây là được về bên mẹ, ăn cơm cùng mẹ, tranh thủ ngủ với mẹ 1 đêm; vì các cháu nội, ngoại dành ngủ với bà suốt rồi</p> <p>Tết của tôi giờ đây, là mẹ</p>
