Riot Fest is almost here, and the Rock Fan Radio crew is breaking down the lineup! 🤘 From the controversial new Slipknot single to the "swamp metal" hype of Wage War, we're laying out our hot takes and must-see bands.
In this episode:
▸ Aim High talks Riot Fest, Chicago roots, and collaborating with Four Year Strong.
▸ Stabbing Westward's 'Wither Rewired' gets slammed for being overproduced and watered down.
▸ Airbourne's self-titled album is praised as raw, no-frills rock, with a wild story about opening for them.
▸ Spiritbox's new song "Morning" sparks a huge debate: generic and auto-tuned, or amazing and riffy?
▸ President is called an "industry plant" and "karaoke band" by some, while others dig their industrial sound.
▸ Slipknot's new single is universally panned for being too polished and having terrible lyrics.
▸ 156/Silence's new album gets a perfect 10/10 from one host, but a C+ from another.
▸ Wage War's "Landfall" single and "swamp metal" sound are hyped as killer, with a deep dive into what "humid" music means.
