До Залу слави рок-н-ролу Маккартні ввели двічі: у 88-му році як члена «Бітлів» і у 99-му — як сольного артиста. А “Книга рекордів Гіннеса” відзначає сера Пола як «найбільш шанованого композитора й артиста» та називає «найбільш успішним піснярем в історії музики». Не дивно, адже лише список його світових почесних нагород складає цілу сторінку. Серу Маккартні сьогодні 84, і ми вітаємо людину-легенду!

17 червня у 1944 році народився англійський гітарист Кріс Спеддінґ. Він був членом одинадцяти гуртів, а крім того, Кріса запрошували Елтон Джон, Пол Маккартні, Брайан Іно та Арт Ґарфанкел. А 2012 року в цей день Брюс Спрінґстін зіграв один із найдовших сольних рок-концертів в історії. В Мадриді, на “Estadio Santiago Bernabéu”, він виступав упродовж трьох годин і сорока восьми хвилин, виконавши тридцять дві пісні.

16 червня у 1951 році народився Чарлі Домінічі — вокаліст гурту “Dream Theater” наприкінці вісімдесятих. На жаль, музикант пішов із життя у листопаді 2023. Цього ж дня 1972 року вийшла епохальна платівка Девіда Боуї “The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars”. Це був перший концептуальний альбом співака, і успіх його був шаленим: альбом увірвався в чарт “Billboard” у Штатах і ввійшов до першої десятки в Британії.
