It is important for the British to order the Indian society in a way which they defined it. Colonial authority created a difference between them and Indian colonized subjects and their past. Indeed the colonial authority want to order the society to legitimize and cement sociocultural difference ; the inferiority of the Indians and superiority of the British.

This podcast is about the creation of difference between colonized and the colonizer by the British in India. Though the British expressed similarities between them and the Indians they always used to highlight the difference between two. Indeed they want to create an otherness, the binary between us and they. This is an attempt on introducing the cultural and social differences and distancing the European colonizer highlighted in their further deeds following the revolt of 1857.
