Dr. Filimão M. Chambo, General Superintendent of the Church of The Nazarene, brings a message from the book of Romans. Dr. Filimão Chambo was elected general superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene in 2017 after serving as Africa Region director, where he oversaw church planting and ministry development across Africa. Born in Mozambique to pastor parents, Chambo sensed God’s call to ministry at 17. He studied theology in Mozambique and South Africa, earned advanced degrees in Biblical Studies, and was ordained as an elder in 2000. Before becoming a general superintendent, he served as a pastor, seminary educator, seminary president, and education coordinator for the Africa Region. Filimão and his wife, Samantha, an ordained elder, have two children.
