Runners Podium Ep. 15 | Ron Romano: 98 Marathons, a Lifetime of Running, Lessons & Unforgettable Stories
In this episode of Runners Podium, I sit down with Ron Romano for a wide-ranging conversation about running, life, and the experiences that shape us along the way.
At 65 years old, Ron is closing in on 100 marathons, with 98 under his belt. This year alone, he ran marathons on all five continents and completed all eight World Marathon Majors, averaging under 3:30 across them, including an incredible 3:18 at the Tokyo Marathon.
We talk about this extraordinary year of racing, the training, discipline, and mindset behind it, and what continues to drive him after so many miles and marathons. But this conversation goes well beyond race results. Ron shares incredible stories, hard-earned lessons, and thoughtful perspectives on running, life, perseverance, and what it means to keep challenging yourself.
At the heart of it all is Ron's personal motto: Stay in the Fight. It's a mindset that extends well beyond running and captures so much of what makes his story inspiring.
It's one of my favorite conversations on Runners Podium so far.
As always, we dive into the Runners Podium Top 3 categories, but this conversation takes us in all sorts of interesting directions.
