About Running Miles
Running Miles is a podcast about everyday runners and the stories behind their miles. As a runner myself, I sit down with runners of all levels to talk about what got them lacing up their trainers for the first time, the goals they have achieved, the challenges they’ve faced, and what comes next. We discuss the reality of balancing running with real life - early mornings, the small joys and the moments that make it all worth it. Whether you’re training for something big or just heading out the door, Running Miles is here to remind you that every mile counts.

12 Running Miles Love Trails Edition
Live from the trails (sort of). Last weekend I was lucky enough to head down to the Gower Peninsula for Love Trails Festival. Love Trails is a four day running and music festival but there are also loads of wellness, creative and outdoor experiences as well as a whole host of talks and community events. This episode is an amalgamation of my thoughts from the weekend, voice notes that were recorded on site and on the trails, and the lovely conversations I had with Emma Henderson, a fellow runners and stunners ambassador, and Charlotte Hogan, founder of Queen Square Run Club in Bristol, which were recorded back in London. Hopefully this episode gives you an insight into Love Trails Festival and all of the wonderful experiences I had over the weekend. A massive thank you to Runners and Stunners for the opportunity to go to the festival and the Love Trails team for organising everything for us. Did you go to Love Trails? We talk openly about Jamie's relationship with alcohol, the decision to stop drinking, and the challenges of navigating relationships after taking that first step. We discuss how a single Parkrun sparked his love for running, taking him from his first 10K race to the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of Shelter, and now to training for the Berlin Marathon while fundraising for Alcohol Change UK. Jamie also shares the lessons he's learned throughout his sobriety journey, the sense of purpose running has given him, and his advice for anyone who may be questioning their own relationship with alcohol. An inspirational conversation about the life-changing impact of taking that first step.
