Episode 2161 - Vibe Coding Bugs and the Workflow Fix

Today is day 15 of my 30-day AI experiment, the halfway point. The aim is to take a business concept to profitability in 30 days, with AI doing 90% of the work. I built no new modules. Most of my time went on fixing bugs in modules I had already built, and rebuilding some which were not fit for purpose. In this episode I explain the difference between small AI requests, which are easy, and large modules, which need structure. I walk through BILD, the prompt structure I use: Breakdown, Initiate, Limitations and Done for you result. Then I share what today taught me. A breakdown needs a simple workflow in stages, so the AI understands the order of the journey, not only the description. My estimate is this halves the time spent on iteration, testing and bug fixing. That is an estimate from limited use, and I will keep checking.I also talk about the heat on today's run. It was 24 degrees, which my body treats as about 34, so I was breathing harder than usual. I am behind on my output and expect some weekend work to catch up. I accept that, because consistency means the bad days count too. This is consecutive day 2,161, 16,591.88km into the 40,075km lap of the world, with 23,483.12km to go. The aim is to raise £1M for children's causes. Episode 2113 - Grassroots Football Referee: The Match I Wish I Could Forget

Today is Day 2113 of my daily run streak, and I am talking about my worst experience as a grassroots football referee. I help run my oldest son's under 15s team, and this is my tenth year with the group. A local derby turned toxic. Half of the opposition were lovely lads, but the noise from some players, coaches and parents made the game hard to control. I showed two yellow cards. One of them deserved a red, and I explain why I chose a yellow. We equalised a minute and a half from the end of added time, then a player tried to start a fight, and his own coach had to bring him to the ground at the final whistle. Nobody was hurt. Some players would not shake my hand. The lesson for me is perspective. Children's football exists so children stay fit, enjoy a team game and learn to win and lose with respect. Adults set the standard, and the children copy it. I also reflect on discipline. A referee makes a call, accepts the consequences and returns the next week. A daily run asks the same of me. I have now covered 16,246.89km, with 23,828.11km left on my 40,075km lap of the world, all in support of a £1M target for children's causes. If you coach, assist or referee youth football, I would like to hear how you handle a touchline like this one. #grassrootsfootball #refereelife #respectinsport #streakrunning #ukrunnerscommunity #runnerslifestyle #ultrarunninglife #runformentalhealth #strava #stravarun #Insta360 #vibramfivefingersWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/whRrYP_QuXE

Episode 2160 - Financial Clarity for Business Owners Using AI: Day 14 and Run

Financial clarity is something many business owners lack, and it is the problem I focused on today. This is day 14 of my 30-day AI experiment, where I am taking one business concept to profit with AI doing 90% of the workload as the target. I am about halfway, still on track, and aware of how much work remains.Today I built accounts payable modules for fixed and variable costs, finished the credit control process, and completed a Slack interface so contractors in the field can use the software from their phones. I explain why I built finance this way, and why I think many owners are better served by clear, real-time information than by accounting terminology.I also talk about the pressure. The experiment began as a relaxed test. As the product has become more complete, I feel a greater duty to make it reliable before the first test clients arrive. I cover how I manage that alongside my other businesses, and why I am using the Claude Max 5x plan to show you do not need a large subscription. This is consecutive day 2160 of my daily barefoot-style run. I have covered 16,584.61km of the 40,075km lap of the world, with 23,490.39km remaining. I do this every day to raise £1M for children's causes. Consistency matters more to me than intensity, and I want to keep going for 16.5 years in total. #aiforbusiness #businessfinance #streakrunning #consistency #ukrunnerscommunity #runnerslifestyle #ultrarunninglife #runformentalhealth #strava #stravarun #Insta360 #vibramfivefingersWatch the full episode: https://youtu.be/L-OvvCvAU58
