This is so common in our world that prides itself on strong intellect and ration and reason.
With any psychedelic experience, difficult experiences are highly likely. But the presence of a difficult experience does not equal a bad trip and Bharat and Jas feel it is important to distinguish the differences between the two.

In this episode, Bharat and Jas decipher the big and small differences between a difficult experience and a bad trip so that it is clear. Once that groundwork is laid out, they share many ways to navigate bad trips to help you move into safer territory. They also share ways how to avoid bad trips altogether.

It is important to understand that we do not speak to avoiding or managing difficult experiences as these are valid and important to go through for our healing. In a society that confuses pain and discomfort, and is discomfort adverse a lot of the time, it is important to start to accept these experiences as they are if we want to experience true, embodied and sustainable healing.

If you are interested in trip sitting services, reach out to B or Jas on their instagram accounts (@bthymedicine or @healwithjas)

With the growing popularity of psychedelics, B and Jas wanted to take time to share their perspective with you about how you can make the most of your healing experiences. Access to psychedelics, especially mushrooms, has never been easier, with storefronts, grow your own kits and microdosing companies now offering macro-doses in various forms. Because of that, The Scared AF Podcast feels it is important to speak to the topic of healing with psychedelics from the context of amplifying their benefits.

Some of the topics that are covered are:

The importance of an eyes closed experience

Choosing to work with a professional trip sitter, as opposed to loved ones holding space

Judging your first experience and chalking these medicine up to “it doesn’t work for me”

Attempting to recreate your first or past experience

Doing too much research and staying in your head

There are a few other topics touched on and tons of golden nuggets throughout this episode. If you enjoy it, leave us a review and come follow us on Instagram (@bthymedince + @healwithjas) to learn more from us and hear about our latest offerings with these magic medicines.
