S3 E1: Why the Most Powerful Business Move You Can Make Is Finding Your Room With Melissa Bauknight

Guest Bio: Melissa Bauknight is the founder of The Nova Global, a women's community built for conscious, growth-oriented women who refuse to leave any part of themselves at the door. A former medical device sales professional turned serial community developer, Melissa spent nine years becoming the leader Nova needed before she ever launched it. She's building a movement — not a membership. Episode Description: This one is personal. Heather sits down with Melissa Bauknight — Nova Global founder and one of her closest collaborators — for a rare, reciprocal conversation about what it actually looks like to build a business from the inside out. They explore energetic leadership, what it means to have a Chief Energetics Officer working inside your company, and why the most powerful rooms are the ones where no one has to pretend. Equal parts business and soul — exactly what Sacred Boardroom was made for. In This Episode: Why Nova took nine years to come to life — and why that timeline was the point What Melissa was navigating as a founder when Heather first came into the Nova as Chief Energetics Officer What "energetic change management" actually looks like inside a growing company How energy work supports team dynamics, hiring decisions, and leadership confidence The belonging wound — and why mixed rooms of women heal it faster than anything else Why Melissa runs retreats as a team sport and what non-hierarchical leadership actually feels like in practice What Supernova Live is and why September in Golden, Colorado might be exactly where you need to be The vision for Nova Global — and the moment that made them both cry Guest Links & Resources: The Nova Global: thenovaglobal.com (http://thenovaglobal.com) Supernova Live (Sept 18–19, Golden CO): https://thenovaglobal.com/supernova-live-2026/ (https://thenovaglobal.com/supernova-live-2026/) Melissa Bauknight on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissa-bauknight/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/melissa-bauknight/) Melissa Bauknight on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/melissa_bauknight/ (https://www.instagram.com/melissa_bauknight/) If you're curious about summer energy audits or working with Heather directly — reach out. S2 E11 Is Your Frequency Running Your Business? The Founder Frequency Audit

Your business isn't broken, it's responding to your frequency. Here's how to find out what you're actually broadcasting. If you have a persistent problem in your business that no amount of strategy seems to fix, Heather Wick wants you to consider a different angle: you. In this solo episode, Heather introduces the concept of founder frequency — the energetic signature a founder brings into every room, every decision, and every interaction, and makes a case for why it's one of the most overlooked forces in business. She walks listeners through the Founder Frequency Audit, a four-question practice designed to surface the subconscious stories running beneath the surface of your leadership. This is not mindset fluff. It is a precise, honest look at the gap between where you are and where your business is calling you, and a clear-eyed invitation to close it. IN THIS EPISODE - Why your energy as a founder is never neutral — and what it's actually doing to your business right now - How to tell the difference between a business problem and a founder frequency problem (the distinction matters more than you think) - A real client story: how one founder's childhood experience with entrepreneur parents was silently braking her own business growth - Why your nervous system isn't sabotaging you — it's doing its job, and how to work with it instead of against it - The Founder Frequency Audit: a four-question journaling practice you can do today to start mapping what's running the show beneath the surface - What to do when you find something you're not ready to look at yet - How Heather works with this inside her Chief Energetics Officer retainers — and the next step if you want to go deeper TIMESTAMPS [00:01] — When your energy walks into the room before you do [02:14] — Calling your energy home: why centering comes first [04:08] — Client story: the founder whose nervous system was broadcasting "stop" [06:02] — What happens when you name the real fear [08:13] — The Founder Frequency Audit: how to use it [09:57] — Question 3: how would you actually feel if your dream was already real? [11:48] — The voice that says "can you really?" — and why she matters [13:57] — Drawing the line between your hard thing and your hidden resistance [15:37] — Owning your own stuff so it stops running your business [16:15] — Your journaling invitation for this week [21:26] — Closing: what it looks like when your frequency runs with crystal clarity RESOURCES MENTIONED - The Founder Frequency Audit (free download): https://sacredboardroom.com/frequencyaudit (https://sacredboardroom.com/frequencyaudit) - Business Energy Diagnostic with Heather: https://sacredboardroom.com/diagnostic (https://sacredboardroom.com/diagnostic) CONNECT WITH HEATHER Subscribe on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sacred-boardroom/id1800819041 (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sacred-boardroom/id1800819041) Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theheatherwick (https://www.instagram.com/theheatherwick) (@theheatherwick) LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/heather-wick-8534a76/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/heather-wick-8534a76/) Substack: https://substack.com/@heatherwick (https://substack.com/@heatherwick)

S2 E10 Recovering Out Loud and What it Takes to Go First with Shannon Kelley

Shannon Kelley is a life coach, entrepreneur, and the founder of Recovering Out Loud — a movement dedicated to removing the shame and stigma from addiction and sobriety. Drawing from her own lived experience with substance dependency, incarceration, and profound spiritual transformation, Shannon is building a community that makes recovery visible, accessible, and empowering for everyone — whether you're in the thick of it or just getting curious. Shannon Kelley doesn't whisper about recovery. She does it out loud — and she's inviting everyone else to do the same. In this episode, Shannon shares her raw, unfiltered story: from blackout drinking at 15, to addiction, homelessness, and prison, to getting sober and building a business rooted in spirit, connection, and empowerment. What struck me most was Shannon's insistence that shame is the real disease — and that visibility is the cure. This is a conversation for anyone who's ever made a choice they weren't proud of, anyone navigating sobriety in a world that still treats it like a secret, and anyone who believes that community is medicine. IN THIS EPISODE How Shannon went from rock bottom — addiction, homelessness, incarceration — to building a movement rooted in spirit and empowerment Why shame is the single biggest barrier to recovery, and what happens when people finally see it's safe to come out The difference between religion and spirituality in recovery, and why AA's "God of your own understanding" changed everything for Shannon (even a door handle counts) What Shannon discovered after five years of solid sobriety — and why she relapsed anyway (this one will make you think differently about what recovery actually requires) The rat park: what a famous experiment about addiction, connection, and environment reveals about what humans truly need to heal Shannon's vision for a physical space — a nonprofit community hub — where connection replaces substances as the centerpiece Why you don't have to commit to forever — and how recovery is actually just one daily decision made through small, intentional habits Heather's own honest reflection on alcohol, clarity, energy work, and what it means to be a clear channel GUEST LINKS & RESOURCES Instagram: @recoveringoutloudmovement (https://www.instagram.com/recoveringoutloudmovement) Etsy store Spirit of Sobriety: thespiritofsobriety.etsy.com (http://thespiritofsobriety.etsy.com) Email: recoveringoutloudmovement@gmail.com (mailto:recoveringoutloudmovement@gmail.com) CONNECT WITH HEATHER 🎙️ Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sacred-boardroom/id1800819041 (https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sacred-boardroom/id1800819041) 📸 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theheatherwick (https://www.instagram.com/theheatherwick) (@theheatherwick) 💼 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/heather-wick-8534a76/ (https://www.linkedin.com/in/heather-wick-8534a76/) 📰 Substack: https://substack.com/@heatherwick (https://substack.com/@heatherwick)
