[…] They kept on the medication, but then part of the group was assigned this breath work protocol, sky breath meditation. They went through the practice and And what the investigators saw was that the remission rate for the people doing the breath work was actually significantly higher in the recovery from anxiety. And so even, like you said, without meds, we're seeing really positive physiological but also psychological shifts. And everything from lower stress and decreased cortisol to lower anxiety to more time spent in deep sleep to better impulse control through activity in the amygdala. So there's a lot of really fascinating, interesting stuff that's coming out where we can use breath as a tool that meets a lot of our mental health needs and the tools in our hands. […]
