Passage: 1 Peter 1:10-16, Summary: What if the time and place you’re living in right now aren’t an accident?
In 1 Peter 1:10–16, Peter reminds believers that we have an incredible privilege: we live on this side of the cross, knowing the salvation the prophets longed to see. And while we wait expectantly for Jesus to return, we’ve been given a purpose—to represent Him faithfully in the world around us.
In this message from our "Outsiders" series, discover why God has placed you in this moment and how that should shape the way you think, live, and respond to the world around you.

1 Peter 1:3-9
Passage: 1 Peter 1:3-9, Summary: What happens when following Jesus costs you something?
The believers Peter wrote to knew what it meant to suffer for their faith. They faced rejection, loss, persecution, and the temptation to wonder whether following Jesus was really worth it. In 1 Peter 1:3–9, Peter reminds them that their suffering is temporary, their faith is precious, and their eternal inheritance is secure.
When our faith is tested, God has not forgotten us. Trials reveal the genuineness of our faith and remind us where our hope truly rests. Because Jesus rose from the dead, we have a living hope that no hardship, rejection, or persecution can take away.
When following Jesus gets difficult, keep your eyes on Him. Your hope is secure, your faith matters, and your suffering is not the end of the story.

1 Peter 1:1-2
Passage: 1 Peter 1:1-2, Summary: What happens when following Jesus makes you feel increasingly out of place in the world around you?
The believers Peter wrote to knew what it meant to face pressure, rejection, and persecution because of their faith. Yet Peter reminded them of something greater than their circumstances: they belonged to God. They were present in the world, but their true identity and citizenship were found somewhere else.
In this message from 1 Peter 1:1–2, we’ll discover how followers of Jesus can remain faithful when the culture around us moves in a different direction. Opposition doesn’t mean God has abandoned His people. Even when believers are scattered, pressured, or rejected, God is still sovereign, still at work, and still using His Church to advance the gospel.
You may feel like an outsider in this world—but don’t forget who you are. You are His.
