Saints Church Melbourne is a Christ-centered community dedicated to following Jesus and advancing His Kingdom in Melbourne, Australia. Established in 2020 as a church plant, we embrace the biblical idea and theology of the word 'saints' (Greek: hagios: set apart by (or for) God, holy, sacred) — and as more of a verb than a noun. Our mission is to call, gather, equip, and send saints to live as holy ambassadors, merging the Kingdom of Heaven with the city of Melbourne.

In week one of House of Prayer, Ps Jimmy explores the biblical vision for a praying people, the mystery and struggle of prayer, the battle for our attention, and the subtle danger of believing in God while living as though everything depends on us.
Jesus declared, “My house will be called a house of prayer.” But prayer is more than a meeting we attend or a spiritual discipline we occasionally practise - it is part of our identity and vocation as the people of God.
This is an invitation to return to His presence, bring Him what we’ve been carrying alone, and take up our mandate to pray.

In Mark 10, a rich young ruler comes running to Jesus with a question we all wrestle with: what must I do to inherit eternal life? But what begins as a question about what he must do becomes an invitation to surrender. Stephen unpacks the tension between self-sufficiency and dependence on God, asking not simply what we possess, but what possesses us. Through this encounter, we’re reminded that we cannot save ourselves, and we cannot follow Jesus without surrender, because discipleship is the daily reorientation of our lives from fear to faith, and from self-sufficiency to trust in Jesus.
