What happens when someone else’s need interrupts your journey?
After unexpectedly running out of gas at a busy intersection, we watched car after car pass by until one complete stranger stopped. He didn’t know us, yet he chose to inconvenience himself to help.
That moment brought the story of the Good Samaritan to life in a completely different way and left me with a question I couldn’t shake: How many times have I seen someone in need and simply kept moving?

Borrowed Battles - How borrowed battles become culture
Can we inherit an enemy we've never met?
In Episode 3 of Borrowed Battles, we take the conversation beyond the home and the Church into society, exploring how conflict can travel through generations until prejudice, stereotypes, tribalism, racism, and division begin to feel normal.
Through biblical examples including the Jews and Samaritans, Jonah and Nineveh, and Peter's encounter with Cornelius, we wrestle with a difficult question:
What do we inherit from painful history; the wisdom, or the hostility?
Acknowledging injustice doesn't require passing its hatred to another generation. We can remember history, learn from it, pursue justice, and still refuse to manufacture new enemies.
The history may belong to us. The lessons may belong to us. The hatred does not have to.

Borrowed Battles - When the church chooses sides
What happens when we enter the house of God and inherit conflicts that were never ours?
In Episode 2 of Borrowed Battles, we explore how division can quietly move through the Church, from leadership loyalties and favouritism to gossip, cliques, ministry competition, and offences we adopt simply because of who we're connected to.
Through Scripture and honest conversation, we ask some uncomfortable questions: Have I ever changed how I see someone because of somebody else's experience with them? Am I standing for truth, or simply carrying another person's offense?
The Church was never called to create camps. We were called to model the reconciliation of Christ to the world.
A brother you have an unresolved issue with does not have to become my enemy simply because you and I are friends.
