About Salus Omnium: Classified Creature Horror | Biohazard Containment Stories

Classified creature-horror stories about biological threats, failed containment operations, and incidents erased from history. From 1850 to the recent past, Salus Omnium confronts legendary organisms—not as magic, but as biohazards. Salus Omnium: Classified Creature Horror is a horror fiction podcast for sleep, presented through the sealed archives of an organization tasked with protecting civilization from species officially declared impossible. Each episode reconstructs a historical containment operation involving outbreaks, infestations, infection vectors, hostile organisms, and biological anomalies. Recovered reports, field testimony, survivor accounts, and suppressed records reveal what happened—and what had to be sacrificed—when containment failed. The creatures remembered as vampires, trolls, werewolves, night-elves, and other legends were never supernatural. Their names were fragments of early biological observation: incomplete warnings about predators, parasites, mutations, and competing species concealed within human history. This is biohazard containment fiction at the intersection of creature horror, military science fiction, biological horror, and cosmic dread. Every operation takes place in a world of quarantine zones, expendable personnel, institutional secrecy, and official denial—where preserving civilization often requires erasing the truth. The Ancient World exists. The Beasts of the Ancient World exist. And the countdown to the end of civilization has already begun. Written by Sascha Schmidt, based on the lore of Beasts of the Ancient World, and narrated by the synthetic voice of Henry Atkinson.

We Sealed 35 Civilians Inside A Dormitory And Burned Them Alive | The 1994 Djinn Incident at Tarskoye, Sunzha Valley - Mythical Creature Horror Story

This is The 1994 Djinn Incident at Tarskoye, Sunzha Valley by Sascha Schmidt, a mythical creature horror story set in December 1994 during the First Chechen War. In an isolated mining settlement in the Sunzha Valley, a Russian Orthodox chaplain arrives under the cover of humanitarian aid, but his true mission is to confirm the presence of an ancient biological predator that local folklore calls a djinn. The creature feeds on blood, lures infants with cries that mimic human distress, and has emerged from the stone of a medieval tower where Soviet geologists first breached its lair in 1952. What begins as a medical investigation becomes a classified containment operation when the chaplain realizes the infestation is not limited to a single point—the substrate is in the walls, the floors, the mine shafts, and the creature is ranging beyond the tower. Based on recovered field notes and a suppressed 1996 manuscript, the episode reconstructs the forty-hour window in which a chaplain and a Chechen warlord form an impossible compact. The creature's biological reality defies every category of trauma, infection, or chemical warfare. The dormitory where civilians shelter shows staining that reappears after scrubbing. The knocking beneath the floor answers itself from multiple directions. When an authorized evacuation attempt proves that the entity will follow odor trails beyond the quarantine zone, the chaplain faces a decision that no prayer can sanctify. The archive records what was ordered. It does not record whether God received the children. Written by Sascha Schmidt, based on the lore of Beasts of the Ancient World, and narrated by the synthetic voice of Henry Atkinson.

Containment meant to Burn The Creature and The Infected | The Zelkova Tree Incident of 1868 in Gujo, Japan - Mythical Creature Horror Story

This is The Zelkova Incident of 1868 in Gujo, Japan by Sascha Schmidt, a mythical creature horror story for sleep. In the first year of the Meiji era, a physician arrives at a converted poorhouse on the edge of an old battlefield to find indigent residents dying with pale, bloodless bodies and strange circular wounds. The massive zelkova tree shading the building is not a landmark—it is a biological predator extending hydraulic branch-tubes through the floorboards to feed on sleeping humans, and the administrator has known for decades. Recovered field notes and a hidden temple compact reveal that the tree propagates through root suckers in blood-soaked soil, that salt and iron can disrupt its seeking mechanism, and that the organism has been feeding on the vulnerable placed in its shadow by design. The physician documents living plant tissue growing inside a patient’s healing wound, attempts to sever a feeding tube, and watches the tree adapt faster than science can explain. When a government inspector arrives to disinter bodies and publish his findings, the compact invokes an older law—one that requires fire, silence, and a sacrifice the official record will never admit. Written by Sascha Schmidt, based on the lore of Beasts of the Ancient World, and narrated by the synthetic voice of Henry Atkinson.

We Sedated The Orphans With Morphine. Then We Burned Them Alive. | The 1947 Hydra Serpent Incident at Lerna, Greece - Mythical Creature Horror Story

This is The 1947 Hydra Serpent Incident at Lerna, Greece by Sascha Schmidt, a mythical creature horror story drawn from the hidden archives of Salus Omnium. In the winter of 1947, as the Greek Civil War tears through the Argolid plain, a British liaison officer receives a coded distress signal from a desperate nationalist militia commander. A converted poorhouse at the edge of the Lerna marsh has become a hunting ground. Displaced orphans, wounded fighters, and elderly refugees are vanishing from their beds, and the bodies that are recovered show puncture wounds and necrosis that no political violence can explain. The creature is not folklore. It is a serpentine apex predator with a distributed nervous system, multiple independently breathing heads, and a venom that paralyzes its prey while keeping them conscious. It has been entering through the flooded cellar for months, and the well water is thick with iridescent scale residue. Captain Blackwell arrives to find a nightmare already in progress. The marsh fog carries the sound of asynchronous breathing, and the cellar reveals gelatinous egg masses attached to submerged roots—the poorhouse is not merely a feeding site, but a nursery. A typhus quarantine is declared to seal the perimeter, but the discovery of the eggs transforms the operation from a possible evacuation into something far colder. Dr. Helena Vouris, an Auschwitz survivor conscripted to provide medical cover, is handed morphine vials and asked to sedate the children who are still conscious, still asking for their mothers, still capable of escaping when the fire begins. The iron barriers are positioned. The naphtha is distributed. The flamethrowers are primed. And in the reeds beyond the perimeter, a six-year-old girl who found a forgotten drainage passage turns her face toward the British captain through the fog, waiting for someone to decide whether she is a witness or a loose end. Written by Sascha Schmidt, based on the lore of Beasts of the Ancient World, and narrated by the synthetic voice of Henry Atkinson.
