RestoCamp is Not a Campus. It’s the Future of Hospitality

RestoCamp is Not a Campus. It’s the Future of Hospitality

Why RestoCamp @Mall Of Tripla, is redefining how we educate, train, and build the next generation of hospitality management

What if hospitality education didn’t happen inclassrooms, but in real time, inside a living ecosystem? RestoCamp @Mall of Tripla challenges everything we thought we knew about learning. The campus is located within a short walk from Haaga-Helia, Pasila Campus.

Built by Haaga-Helia, University of Vocational Science, this concept blends education, industry, and experience into onedynamic environment.

The name RestoCamp is clearly tied to the industry: "resto" refers to hospitality management in Finnish, and camping is tourism. ¨Camp¨refers to the base camp, a space to do things, and also to a campus without being a full-fledged campus.

Students don’t observe, they participate.

They work with real partners, test new technologies, and operate within a commercial setting from day one.

This is where theory meets reality, and where future hospitality and culinary leaders are shaped through action, not abstraction.

If culinary hospitality is about people, experience, and connection, then this is exactly where it should be learned.

RestoCamp will open its doors with the academic year 2026-2027.

Contact Risto Karmavuo, Degree Director, risto.karmavuo@haaga-helia.fi, for more information, and mention that you heard about RestoCamp at @HelsinkiCalling podcast hosted by Sam-Erik Ruttmann.
