Samir Al Maliki, also spelled Samir Al-Maliki or Samir bin Khalil Al-Maliki Al-Hasani, is a Saudi Quran reciter born in Mecca in 1959. He memorized the Qur’an and pursued his early education in Mecca before attending King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Dhahran, where he studied civil engineering.
His recitations—particularly of Surahs Ibrahim, Maryam, and Taha—are celebrated for their clear Tajwīd, melodious tone, and spiritual resonance, qualities that earned him national recognition after winning an Egyptian recitation competition in the 1990s and subsequently serving on Egypt Radio.
