This sermon clarifies the biblical doctrine of election and predestination, asserting that these concepts apply exclusively to believers rather than determining eternal destiny. The speaker explains that God foreknows who will believe the gospel and marks them out for a special purpose, emphasizing the role of the Holy Spirit in sanctification and sealing the believer. Key theological themes include the spiritual blessings granted to the elect, such as adoption as children of God and an eternal inheritance. The message outlines the process of predestination: being called, justified, and ultimately conformed to the image of Christ. The tone is pastoral and instructional, aiming to provide comfort through the security of salvation while urging believers to live in obedience and glorify God.
