Bez sits down with Daniel Laggner ahead of his workshop "The Intelligence of Jealousy" at The Sauce on March 7th. Daniel opens with a disarming confession: he's teaching this topic because he's a deeply jealous person himself. And that honesty sets the tone for one of the most grounded, real conversations we've had on this podcast.
Daniel shares his origin story — 13 years married, eight of them monogamous, and a slow reckoning with the realization that polyamory wasn't just something he wanted, it was part of who he is. What followed was less a smooth transition and more an emotional crash course in self-discovery, one that led him deep into attachment theory, rejection wounds, and the humbling truth that nobody else is responsible for what comes up inside you.
What Daniel brings to this workshop is something hard to teach: he's been in the mud, he knows what it smells like, and he has a genuine gift for helping others map their own inner terrain. Expect a breakdown of what jealousy actually is, real tools for navigating it in relationship, and a visual map to take home with you.
If you've ever watched your partner walk out the door and had to sit alone with what came up next — this one's for you.

Hug Healing with SunRay Bates
In this episode of Saucy and Unfiltered, Bez sits down with SunRay Bates — community member, hug enthusiast, and co-facilitator of Hug Healing — ahead of her workshop at The Sauce on March 7th. What starts as a conversation about hugging quickly opens into something much deeper: the hunger so many of us carry for safe, platonic touch, and how rarely our culture actually makes space for it.
SunRay shares her journey from experiencing the first Hug Healing event as a total revelation, to becoming one of its most devoted co-facilitators. She talks honestly about her own history with unsafe touch, and how this practice — founded over a decade ago by her best friend Billy Bob — has been genuinely medicinal for her nervous system, her relationships, and her heart.
We talk cacao ceremonies, sound baths, the "Bliss Ball" (yes, it's exactly what it sounds like and also somehow more), and why SunRay is bringing this work to Yosemite Falls this spring. If you've ever felt awkward asking for a hug, or realized you might be starving for connection you didn't know how to name — this one's for you.
Hug Healing is happening Saturday, March 7th at The 418 Project. Come ready to be held.
