BONUS EPISODE — PURPOSE IN PROGRESS SERIES “Cause My Daddy Said So: Daughterhood, Identity & Healing in Real Time”

Summary: Lynda Aka Lu shares a heartfelt reflection on healing, identity, and daughterhood, emphasizing that God's words define us beyond life's loudest voices. This episode explores the power of knowing your worth through divine affirmation, especially in times of emotional exhaustion and grief. This bonus episode was never part of the original plan. “Cause My Daddy Said So” was born in real time, in the middle of emotional exhaustion, quiet healing, deep reflection, and a fresh revelation about identity, daughterhood, and what it truly means to belong to God. In this raw and deeply personal episode, Lynda shares how grief, heartbreak, disappointment, survival mode, and old wounds began resurfacing once she finally slowed down long enough to sit with God honestly. Through scripture, storytelling, reflection, and vulnerable conversation, this episode explores: • surviving vs truly healing • identity after heartbreak and rejection • overfunctioning and performance • daughterhood and spiritual adoption • the difference between God’s voice and life’s voice • learning to rest in God instead of striving for worth • why “No man can hinder me” hit differently this season This is not a polished episode. This is a real one. The Weight Behind ‘I’m Fine’ — When Strong Becomes Too Heavy

Content Type: Solo Primary Goal: Discussion Summary: Exploring the emotional weight behind the phrase 'I'm fine' and how women often wear it as a shield. The episode delves into the importance of authentic vulnerability, rest, and redefining strength through faith and self-awareness. Keywords: emotional health, women, vulnerability, faith, rest, strength, healing, self-care, mental health, spiritual growth Key Topics: The layers behind saying 'I'm fine' and what it really means The biblical perspective on shields and protection, especially in faith The story of Mary and Martha and its relevance to women's identity and rest The process of unlearning the identity of being the 'strong one' Practical steps for women to embrace vulnerability and rest Takeaways: 'I'm fine' is often a shield, not a feeling, protecting us from emotional exposure. Faith is meant to be a shield, but many create performative shields that exhaust us. Women often carry emotional loads they never consented to, masking exhaustion with strength. Rest is a discipline and a divine invitation, not a sign of weakness. Healing begins when we stop hiding behind 'I'm fine' and start being honest about our needs. Titles: The Hidden Cost of 'I'm Fine': Redefining Strength and Vulnerability Breaking the Shield: How Women Can Embrace Rest and Authenticity Sound Bites: "'I'm fine' is not a feeling, it's a shield." "Performance shields exhaust us on the inside." "You are allowed to need and care too." Chapters: 00:00 The Weight of 'I'm Fine' 06:42 The Performance Shield: A False Sense of Strength 13:04 Redefining Strength and Vulnerability 16:52 Embracing Honesty for Healing 19:14 Outro Resources: Say It Forward With Lu - https://sayitforwardwithlu.com
