Say It Louder The Podcast is the platform that speak to ”all things about life.” The overall objectives are to push your thinking, elevate your consciousness and inspire your greatness by obtaining inter-”wokeness”and intra-”wokeness.” Through the formats of solo interview, and narrative/storytelling, we delve into topics about addressing trauma, mental and emotional health, spirituality, race, justice/injustice; as well as, the things I love: education, entertainment (music, movies, books at the way it relates to the human experience), words of wisdom and guidance by our influencers of various backgrounds – past and present, and motivational topics, and tips.
Call it a comeback. That's exactly what it is! This is the first episode after three years, and it was COVID that gave me the space to be at home and a push from my friend that made me pick up the microphone. In this episode, I definitely have COVID brain because I am all over the place, but what comes out of this is the addressing of this notion that we can't ask God the question, "Why?" because I felt that there were things that were being disrupted, but I soon uncovered that I received clarity due to having the time and space to hear the answer to the question I asked. There some more random stuff I sprinkled in this episode, so tune in.

The Color Line; An Issue Across the Ages
Originally coined by Frederick Douglass and then mentioned by Dr. W.E.B DuBois in his book, The Souls of Black Folks, the color line as is referenced in DuBois work is the problem of the twentieth century. Unfortunately, the color line is still a problem in the twenty-first century and gives power to many other forms of racism and degradation of which it empowers (equitable resources, wealth opportunities, voting rights, and etc). As the fight for justice and equality continues, the assumption very well could be that demolishing the levers of inequality will more than likely truly weaken and erase the color line issue.

Racial Inequities in Schools, Part 2
This episode is the second part of the Racial Inequities in Schools topic which focuses on the inequities that teachers and educators of color face. Unfortunately, the nuance of being an educator of color can be a difficult one to navigate...not because of the kids, but because of other educators...other adults. Black educators often times treated unfairly which includes being treated as they are less qualified in comparison to white educators, are perceived to be more effective with discipline in comparison to curriculum, and arguably given less grace for growth than their Caucasian peers.
