Gedankenblitz 27: You seem trustworthy!
Wer spontan mal eine Runde starten will oder wer eine neue (Mini-)Kampagne beginnt, sieht sich immer mit den Fragen konfrontiert: Kennen sich unsere Figuren? Und woher eigentlich? Diese Frage mit einem trivialen "Die kennen sich schon!" zu beantworten, geht schnell, nimmt aber Spieltiefe. Aber nur für einen One Shot eine ganze Sitzung zur Zusammenführung der Runde einplanen? Vor allem, wenn nicht einmal sicher ist, ob am nächsten Spielabend überhaupt noch die selben Personen zusammen am Tisch sitzen, ist das verschwendete Zeit. Ich fabuliere schwitzend über das für und wider.

der Schattenläufer 43: Dystopisches Spiel
Shadowrun ist ... irgendwas mit Cyberpunk. Und Cyberpunk ist dystopisch. Doch was bedeutet es am Spieltisch? Was darf, was muss, was sollte nicht? Nach einer raschen in a nutshell Definition des Genres beschäftigen wir uns mit einem Garant dafür, dass alle im selben Maß das Rollenspiel genießen können: den Sicherheitsmechaniken. Wir reden darüber, dass Konzerndystopie sich anders anfühlt, als die dystopischen Redmond Barrens und wie man den (cyber)Punk ins eigene Rollenspiel und den shared imagination space bringt. Dystopische Vignetten, die "Regel der Drei" von Montessori und das "Mehr davon" aus dem Improtheater helfen beim spontanen World Building. Also... lasst uns dystopisch werden!

der Schattenläufer 42: Shadowrun Bugfix 4: More Lore?
In der Mini-Serie Shadowrun-Bugfixes möchte ich mich einigen "problematischen" Elementen von Shadowrun widmen, den Flaws also, die uns Runnern immer vorgehalten werden, wenn Personen uns sagen, was sie an unserem Lieblingssystem blöd finden. Time to fight back! Dieser "Bug" ist keine Schwachstelle von Shadowrun. Auch andere Systeme leiden mitunter an akribisch präzise formulierten Beschreibungen selbst des kleinsten Kohlenmeilers. Will die Spielleitung nun die Welt korrekt wiedergeben, müsste sie alles wissen. Geht eh nicht, aber vielleicht wenigstens die relevanten Fakten für das aktuelle Abenteuer? Und falls nicht? Oder falls die Spielenden die relevante Lore nicht perfekt drauf haben? Muss jeder Newbie-Runner für seinen ersten Milk-Run 9 Bände Hintergrund durchackern? Und Spoiler man sich nur selbst damit?
