Science and Scriptures discusses the overlap of our physical world of science and the spiritual world of the scriptures. With stories, histories, and interviews, we'll discuss how findings in science provide new understandings of the universe and of the Gospel. It is exciting to realize how these two worlds interface - whether you are talking about the Creation, the reasons for our mortal probation, rules of Earth life that God must enforce, or the role of COVID-19 and other dangers. Join us for discussions and interviews to better understand the larger questions of life! It’s a wonderfully complex world. Science and scriptures are provided to help us figure it all out.
I am reading a book called, “Human Errors” by Nathan H. Lents. The book explains flaws in the human body that were caused during the evolution of mankind. We have problems with our sinuses, ligaments, Vitamin C self-production, and backs caused by evolutionary changes. Evolution was a tool of creation - but a poor tool. Why did God choose it?

A Generation that Believes Nothing
Many people today, especially the younger generations, believe… well, in nothing. As demonstrated by COVID, they don’t believe in doctors. They don’t believe any of the experts in their fields. However, their conclusions are in direct contradiction to the scriptures, which encourages us - on nearly every page - to believe. Our younger generations needs to understand that their skepticism about politics, government, corporations, soccer, and the rest of society should not spill over into their religion or Church.

The Question of the Soul
The heart of Christianity lies in having an individual relationship with the Lord. To really understand that relationship, we must ask the question… “Do I have a spirit? Am I a ‘living soul’ with both a physical body… and a spiritual component within that body?”
Most Christians believe that, before or upon our births, we are we are each given a premortal spirit – a spiritual child of God. Without those spirits, God is not really our Heavenly Father. He is still God, but we are not heirs to His kingdom. If we don’t have spirits, then the premise for our relationship God goes missing. It’s an important doctrine, though it is not discussed very often.
