In honor of the late, great Tim Curry, our hosts discuss two movies starring Tim Curry: Muppet Treasure Island and FernGully: The Last Rainforest.
First, they rank their favorite Muppet movies and discuss how perfect Tim Curry was as a human-Muppet. Since Long John Silver has some questionable skills in complimenting Jim, they discuss the best/worst insults and compliments they've ever received. Plus, they debate which lab roles different Muppets would have and which movies they want to see remade Muppet style.
As Hexxus in FernGully, Tim Curry embodies the best of the old-style scary/sultry villain. The discuss what he'd be living off of in 2026 and how the movie continues to be relevant now. How would OSHA handle a toxic sludge monster taking over the Leveler? How did the Beetle Boys come across their Beetles? How does animal sentience and fairy sight work in FernGully? Plus, a brief discussion of the late, great Robin Williams as Batty and scientific experimentation on animals.
