Welcome Te Wiki
In this episode, I reflect on a visit to Te Maungarongo, the Presbyterian Church Marae at Ōhope, and a striking carving of a figure with two tongues. The carving symbolises a radical welcome: the belief that no one should have to leave their language at the door to belong. From te reo Māori to Samoan, Tongan, Mandarin, and beyond, every voice is honoured. That vision of hospitality led me to think about Jesus, who continually made space for people as they were. As Te Wiki o te Reo Māori approaches, we explore how welcome, respect, and belonging create room for growth, participation, and connection.

Seek the Wellfare
As New Zealand approaches the 25 October enrolment deadline for the 2026 General Election, this episode reflects on the deeper values that shape our decisions.
Rather than focusing on politics, we explore what faith can teach us about seeking the wellbeing of our communities. Drawing on the wisdom of Jeremiah and the teachings of Jesus, we consider how love of neighbour, concern for the common good, and respectful engagement with differing perspectives can guide our choices.
