20 Books, 400 Years, One Mission: Inside the Sinclair Wemyss Journals
<p>In 2016, a woman named Diana Muir contacted Scott with a claim that seemed impossible: she had the personal journals of Earl Henry Sinclair. After two deleted emails and a third attempt that included sample pages, a phone call was made and a nine-year vetting process began. The Sinclair Wemyss Journals turned out to be a collection of 20 books written across 15 generations by members of two Scottish clans, covering a continuous period from 1353 to 1770. The first 13 were written in Latin, the next two in Old English, and the final five in modern English. What they describe in extraordinary detail is the Templar covenant: the centuries-long mission to transport treasures, relics, and the physical remains of their ancestors from Jerusalem through Scotland and ultimately to North America, where they would be hidden until the day came to establish a free Templar state.Scott spent nearly a decade cross-referencing the journals against independently sourced material from the Cremona Document, and the overlap between these two completely unrelated archives proved decisive. Entries describing a strange flat-tailed creature that could cut down trees matched the historical extinction of beavers in the United Kingdom by 1524. References to digging by the light of a comet in 1770 corresponded to the documented appearance of Lexell's Comet, recorded by only four astronomers worldwide. A Venus transit mentioned by John Wemyss Jr. fell on the exact dates recorded in astronomical records. The name Adam Forrester, listed on Earl Henry's 1398 crew manifest, was verified at Corstorphine Church in Edinburgh, where life-size stone effigies of Forrester and his wife, Jeanne Sinclair (Earl Henry's daughter), remain to this day. An island the journals called Dog Island matched a French inscription on Map A from the Cremona Document reading "Isle of Dog," a name found nowhere in the modern historical record.The internal evidence is equally consistent. Sacred numbers drawn from the Fibonacci sequence, including 8, 13, and 33, appear throughout the journals and correspond to Templar traditions embedded in everything from the eight points of the Templar cross to the structure of the Scottish Rite degree system. The Hooked X symbol appears on crew lists. The dotted M, representing the constellation Virgo and the sacred feminine, is incorporated into Antonio Zeno's personal sigil on the lambskin map. These are not details a forger would know to fabricate, and they align precisely with the same patterns found on the Kensington Rune Stone, where the first numbers in the inscription (8, 22, 2, and 1) add sequentially to 33. How Scotland Saved the Templar Treasure That Built America
<p>The founding of the United States was not a spontaneous act of colonial rebellion. It was the culmination of a 417-year covenant that began when fugitive Knights Templar and their Cistercian brethren started moving treasures, relics, documents, and the physical remains of their ancestors westward from Jerusalem through France, into Scotland, and ultimately across the Atlantic. The ideology driving that mission predated Roman Christianity entirely: monotheistic dualism, the belief in a single deity with equal male and female aspects, the concept of opposites that keep everything in balance. That was the ancient faith these families carried in their bloodline all the way back to the first century, and it was hidden in plain sight inside the Gothic cathedrals they built, structures literally designed as the body of the sacred feminine from the allegorical birth canal of the west-facing doorways to the rib vaulting overhead. When the arrest order came down on October 13th 1307, roughly 9,000 Templars existed across the known world, and only about 600 were arrested in France. The rest were already moving. Three ships loaded with treasure left the port of La Rochelle the night before and sailed for Scotland, where Robert the Bruce, himself excommunicated, offered a haven beyond the reach of both king and pope.</p><p>For nearly 90 years those treasures remained hidden in the Weems Caves on the north side of the Firth of Forth, guarded by the Sinclair clan and their allies. But Scotland was never the final destination. Scott has traced the Templar presence in North America back to the mid-12th century, more than 200 years before Earl Henry Sinclair's documented voyages of 1395 and 1398. The indigenous people were not seeing Europeans for the first time. They had a longstanding prophecy about ancient visitors returning from the east, and they would know them by the proper signs, symbols, and tokens of greeting. The Templars bonded with the native population through shared ideology, ritual, and intermarriage, because the fundamental core of both traditions honoured the sacred feminine. In 1398, 120 remaining Knights Templar crossed the Atlantic and stayed, hiding relics across multiple locations and guarding them for over 400 years until the founding fathers could use those treasures to establish the free Templar state they called the New Jerusalem. From the Knights Templar to Ben Franklin: The 900-Year Secret Behind America's Founding
<p>The founding of the United States didn't begin 250 years ago. It began 900 years earlier, at the time of the First Crusade, with nine knights, a vanished treasure fleet, and a 400-year mission their descendants called the Covenant.This is Episode Zero of a new series from forensic geologist Scott Wolter, timed to America's 250th anniversary. It lays out the full arc in one sitting: how the Knights Templar rose to become the most powerful force in medieval Europe, why the King of France and the Roman Catholic Church moved to destroy them on Friday the 13th in 1307, and how a fleet of treasure-laden ships disappeared from the port of La Rochelle and changed the course of history.Three of those ships reached Scotland. Their knights fought at Bannockburn under Robert the Bruce, and the Scottish clans who sheltered them, the Sinclairs and the Wemyss, took on an obligation that would carry across fifteen generations. In 1395 and 1398, Earl Henry Sinclair carried the Templar treasures and at least 120 surviving descendants across the Atlantic to North America, buried the treasures in multiple locations including Oak Island, and forged a deep bond with the indigenous peoples who agreed to help protect them.The record of all of it survives in twenty handwritten books known as the Sinclair Wemyss Journals, thirteen in Latin, two in Old English, five in modern English, spanning 417 years from 1353 to 1770. They came to Scott Wolter in 2016, and he vetted them for nine years before going public. The journals name the mission three ways: the Free Templar State, the New Jerusalem, and what Brother Francis Bacon called the New Atlantis.
