Podcast Overview

Parking lot culture is the backbone of sports fandom. A compelling argument could be made that tailgating is better than going into the stadium. The plays you cook up with the team in the lots often lead to triumphs not easily replicated.

The Lean from the Lots looks to supplement those parking lot brainstorming sessions. I’d never tell you what to do on this show. I merely exist to give you the tools to make your tailgates profitable. Or, at the very least, give you a fighting chance to make that day in the lots memorable. You’ll get fantasy insights that’ll translate to player props and other plays you can consider on a bet slip. I’ll never claim to have all the answers. I can tell you I’m obsessed with trying to find them.

The Lots are less of a physical place and more of a state of being. The Lot mentality is alive anywhere—on your couch, at the bar, and yes, even in the parking lots you know too well. It’s for anyone, so long as you embrace the mindset.

The Lean from the Lots is presented by Football Over Expected. There's always more to the game.

The Most Consequential Fantasy Starts & Sits (Yet) and 40-Year-Old Quarterbacks (Dec 19, 2025)

Welcome back to the lots. The pressure is worse this week. The lineup calls keep meaning more. I’m navigating the fantasy playoff minefield by bringing you my favorite starts and sits of Week 16. Tail and fade however you see fit. I also looked back at the best 40-year-old quarterbacks we’ve seen, and worked through my College Football Playoff bracket. Buckle up, my friends. The Lean from the Lots is presented by Football Over Expected. There's always more to the game. In The Lab is live on Twitch and Kick every Thursday and Saturday, tackling the most difficult lineup calls the Football Over Expected community can come up with. Find me on Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram, and let’s keep winning. Subscribe to the free Football Over Expected Substack for initial weekly rankings on Wednesday, and updates on Friday and Saturday, sent directly to your inbox. The Absurdity of Isaiah Likely’s Week, Unsung Fantasy Heroes, and Super Bowl Roulette (Dec 16, 2025)

Welcome back to the lots. I may have lost it on this one. Isaiah Likely’s Week 15 performance was the last straw. I could’ve overlooked the ridiculousness of D.J. Moore’s two touchdowns on five targets if not for Lamar Jackson attempting 12 passes. After I worked through those feelings, I found some unsung heroes for the fantasy playoffs and played Super Bowl roulette. The Lean from the Lots is presented by Football Over Expected. Starts and Sits for the Playoffs, Isaiah Likely’s Spot, and All-Time Fantasy Moments (Dec 12, 2025)

Welcome back to the lots. There’s no next week, my friends. We’re burning the ships. It’s more important than ever to make the right call. I’ve got some of my favorite starts and sits to help you do that. Jalen Hurts’ statistical improbability on Monday night inspired a search into the most crushing fantasy moments I can remember. It couldn’t be all bad. There are also times I recall fondly. For the college football fans, I also ranked the potential for fun in some of the most notable matchups. The Lean from the Lots is presented by Football Over Expected.
